What is more important to you: meeting the needs of your significant other, or getting your significant other to meet your needs? |

Meeting his needs...if you love someone that's just what you do...but if you never get the favor returned, you have to ask yourself if that person really loves you...

Meeting the needs of my sig other. I've never been one to be so selfish as to make them meet my needs.

you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours...no one has to take the other person for granted or use the other person!

Neither is more important. Both are just as important.

Meeting his needs...if you love someone that's just what you do...but if you never get the favor returned, you have to ask yourself if that person really loves you... I'm sorry if this offends you but I feel compelled to say that 'love' has nothing to do with 'returning the favor.' Love keeps no record of that sort of thing. Your choice of "meeting his needs" seems to imply that your happiness is somehow dependent on your ability to please another. Or, am I completely off base here? |

Meeting the needs of my lover.

I think that the 50/50 rule is the best. You should both be equal in pleasing the other one...and that is what i intend on doing

It used to be "all about me." I woke up!
It is all about the other person now. If you give most of the time you will get back. Love is all about giving and expecting nothing in return. |

I love seeing his needs fulfilled but if mine are not being met then it useless. I believe that any realtionship should be 50/50 in anything that is done.

What is more important to you: meeting the needs of your significant other, or getting your significant other to meet your needs? If it's tit for tat, it's bartering for services. If my focus is my own needs, it's selfish. If I'm thinking about her needs, it's selfless, and usually the best route. I strive towards selflessness, but occasionally catch myself in the other 2 senarios. |

Well said... I have always been the pleasing type but it has to go both ways... |

Meeting their "wants" not needs. Hopefully they are not needy. I am usually a giver. so much so,that sometimes I gotta just back off a bit.

What is more important to you: meeting the needs of your significant other, or getting your significant other to meet your needs? Somewhere right in the middle. |
