I don't know what are the prices for your country but from where I live at 550 you can built s good gaming pc but with use parts not new ones. Example: take the new video cards on the market are about 400 and up over here but you can get a very good use one (not the newest ones but) for under a 100.
It all depends what kind of gaming you want to do, if it's the newest games then get the latest gears, if you don't mind playing the older games then you can build a good one for cheap. |

You can build a decent gaming rig for as low as $500. Just keep in mind that you'll have to re-use a lot of stuff in the process, including the case, possibly the hard drives, and some of the non-essential peripherals (sound card, maybe the video card if it's new enough).
However, there are a number of items that you simply can't skimp on, which are the- - power supply unit - motherboard - CPU - RAM - hard drives *if you don't end up reusing them* The problem with the above components is that they're easily the most-expensive items on your parts list. So you have to do some price-vs.-performance adjustments at some point. That, or you can go to an online retailer like tigerdirect.com and get a barebones pre-built kit that comes with most of the parts you'll need. Add your the components you want to add and you're good to go. |

Yeah with tigerdirect.com you are sure to get something that might work just be aware that everything from what I understand they sell is all used from what I have been told by many people etc.
Heck your bound to find a good gaming pc you can up grade later from most any place like HP,Dell etc etc. |

$550 - 5 hours x $50 = $300
Restate your question. Say, "Can someone build a $300 computer for me for $550?". Then say you'd like it to play such and such games. |

ok can someone build a gaming computer for 550?
Games that i would like it to play is D2 and WoW |
|
|
|
You don't need **** to play D2 and WOW. Especially D2, it can run on crap computers, cause my friends and I laned it at one of our friends house with a bunch of POS computers. You can build a powerhouse for a grand (that was how much mine cost to build), but not too much for 550. I mean u can get a computer for 550 that can easily play those games, but it wouldn't be a gaming pc.

Newegg.com is like the cheapest and fasting shipping place for computer parts. Dont go to alienware kuz they overprice the crap out of there stuff.
Computer tower aka case: Depends on what you want, but for this ill use mine. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133133 $119 Motherboard: This also depends on what you like amd or intel? Now intel is superior to amd in everything to me at least. Usally you can get a motherboard + processor bundle which is good. This is one of those motherboards. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131299 $119 Processor: This is the processor bundle and it is a very good processor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037 $164 Power supply: in my computer i have like a 500wat and it runs anything i put in it and i have upgraded my computer alot. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817815001 $109 Video Card: This is where people to me get stupid. You dont need a 900 dollar video card to play games like wow or any of those games. That is overkill. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150316 $129 Hard Drive: This depends on what you have on your computer, songs, videos, and such. More than likely you need about 250g hard drive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136039 $69 Memory: 2gs of memory is useally ok because memory is kind of expensive for the good kind but i use 4g so its up to you and how much you can spend. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220372 $99 This all all around 820 bucks. Which is pretty good. I didnt really take time and look for the cheapest stuff but, building computers decent ones at least is going to cost some money. Hope this helps. |
