As I get older, I find myself eating better all the time. I broke up with Little Debbie a while back, and that helped alot. Little Debbie snack foods were always my downfall. I went from 225 to 185 just by eating right, and only eating plain oatmeal for snacks.
Obesity kills more people than cigarettes, and thats a fact smokin

That's true. And I'm not saying that I don't eat healthy foods, cause I do. But I don't focus on eating healthy. Just like others, I eat what I want, as long as my body agrees with it, and even then I'm sometimes a glutton for punishment.

But I think if everyone ate whatever they wanted in moderation, how could any food really be bad for you. I mean, if you ate one snack cake a week or even twice a week as opposed to one a day, what's wrong with that?

When the issue of Americans being overweight "exploded" and every thing on TV and in Magazines was focused on that issue, everyone was telling us don't eat this and don't eat that cause it's all bad for you.

First they said eggs were bad for you, then they changed their minds and said they were good for you.

First they said chocolate was bad for you, then they said it was good for you.

First they said coffee was bad for you, and now they are saying it can reduce the risk of Alzheimer's and Dementia.

"Middle-aged people who drink moderate amounts of coffee significantly reduce their risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.........Middle-aged people who drank between three and five cups of coffee a day lowered their risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer's disease by between 60 and 65 percent later in life"

I get that over-indulging in anything is bad for you, and that eating anything in moderation is really what's best...

But seriously, how do we really know what's going to harm us and what isn't?

I mean, our Great Grandparents and Grandparents pretty much ate whatever they liked or was available, and they lived long and healthy lives.

So do you believe what they say about foods being good or bad for you or do you just eat what you want?

Im sorry but thats a load of crap. Do you have any idea how many alzheimers/dementia patients of mine drank a ton of coffee???? I think most diseases are part genetic, part lifestyle choice.

Oh I know that's a load of crap. I've been drinking coffee almost my entire life, and my memory sucks!
