Sometimes I feel discouraged but mainly I feel mighty lucky, Bugs Bunnyish and Daffy Ducky. And if I think I saw a putty tat, well there is just one thing for that...

Yup. Video's gone poof. So I guess I'll have to keep being discouraged. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo_24_qTNac http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bL3GR4iAW0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O6OluBxGtM I dare you to be discouraged. I've had my own share of obstacles and he's dead-on about all of it. In my teenage years I was hospitalized for almost 6 months of my life with bipolar disorder and enhanced by being raised by an abusive step-father and with the disorder had much difficulty making friends. I was also hospitalized in January of 2007 for 12 days due to a medication induced dysphoric manic episode, but all it did was delay development of my ideas, and challenge me to work all that much harder to overcome my personal obstacles. It's overcoming our obstacles that gives us character, not giving up and feeling sorry for ourselves because we're handicapped or othewise suffering. The reality of my illness is that it has completely changed. Although it is a liability on occasion, for the most part is is a part of what brings me my greatest creativity and innovations. Because of my handicap and determination, I have skills not just in electronics, but programming, machining, automation, podiatry, and drafting. I've also built every machine you see from raw materials, from process, software, hardware and concepts from my own ideas, all with skills I've taught myself. One machine I recently purchased, from the success of my inventions, and it too is insufficient to suit my needs. It will be, however, very soon, after I write a new interface to a controller card I purchased, and after I apply a few more ideas to it. Oh, and lest I forget to mention it, I never graduated high school because of drug abuse and because I only did what I wanted to do, and in part, because I did not fully respect the asset that bipolar disorder gives me. Unemployed is much easier to fix. Broken attitudes take time and effort. |
