Topic: Moral Conundrum | |

Faith is that bases of your spirituality perception, and I would respectively disagree, spirits are not inherently good or evil, they are neutral, swayed by the consciouses which they were put in. But that's my opinion. and my journey is guided by the teaching of Jesus, which I feel, tells us to use faith as a communications device with him.

You were not born inherently evil. You were born helpless. And you learned and were taught. But you have always held that great control of your life and your destiny. That power and strength inside you is the greatest you will ever know as mortal beings. Understanding and respecting it with humble being and noble cause is always going to be the toughest obstacle in life.

I never said it was evil, I said neutral, as you say, events push us one way or the other. And I feel that that greatest power from within ultimately comes from God, through faith. Still, this is straying from my original point, which is continually becoming more complicated. This should be a simple matter of collecting the facts and reaching a logical conclusion, I don't understand why I'm making this so complicated.

Very true, I've had the benefit of life long faith, something I've very grateful to my parents for. But I've been preying for a good four months about this very thing, and still, its seems more silent than normal.

I will make it simple. The answer to your question is "Yo mamma didn't raise no fool. You know the difference between right and wrong". The answers inside you.

I was afraid of that. I don't have the best track record of trusting what's 'inside me.' even though I'm addicted to pleasure, lust and passion, I don't do emotions well. I trust my mind, which is failing me at the moment.

Best of luck bro. You're a wise young man. You see things differently when it comes to designing and engineering. You've got a powerful future and a great life ahead of you. You will without realizing it benefit many in this world with one of your future projects. Keep it humble. Keep it real.

Thank you very much. I'm beginning to think this whole experience is a humbling one, designed to show me I'm not nearly as in control of myself as I would like to think or hope to be.

Oh and never forget mens hormonal peaks at 18-19. It will cloud your judgement and make you a bit crazy. That's natural chemical reaction. Aint much you can do about a sex drive unless you chat with a doc. And the remedies and meds available are not the most pleasant. Again- best of luck.

Thanks again, I think I can handle some chromosomes, if I've contained my emotions this long, why not take on mother nature too.

she might buck hard, but I'll buck her right back.

Chemically curving your sex drive will also curve your creativity. Keep that in mind.
|
|
|
|
Find a balance. You've been putting your emotions in your creativity. Put some creativity in your life. Put some emotions out into yourself. And no matter what invite your faith along in everything you do. Sounds like it might work. And start giving of yourself. Help others when applicable. Donate time. I know you have already. Direct that compassion into that balance.

We are not without fault. We make mistakes. And we learn from them and become better people...hopefully.

Yes, but that does a number on my utter fear of failure of any kind. And I wasn't planing on using chemicals, well, chemicals that weren't already in my body to begin with.

I hear you.

Don't do it until you know the answer for yourself, one way or the other. If you do something and decide you shouldn't have, you can't take it back. If you don't and decide its ok, then you haven't really lost.

wow this topic is all over the place.
Is it normal to have lustful thoughts??? yes!!! Is it a sin???? I dunno......what is a sin if you get forgiven for every little thing??? even murder perhaps???? Just pray for forgiveness and all is better???? Is it a sin against you or your god if you think of bad things??? And who is to say its all bad???? The last time I checked.......love was a pretty good thing!!! |

Yes, this topic is everywhere. I don't have the bad habit of regretting things in my life. I make sure of that, save for this incident. And to answer the other questions, many people say yes, lustful thoughts is sin, others will say it depends how you act upon them. I think it's more important if I don't have to prey for forgiveness, making the the right decisions. Finally, yes, it is a sin against my God to think bad thinks. That falls under the 'what you do in your heart' category.
