Friends, depends on the issue.
Family, wait until there's a will and you'll see how deep family roots go.
Lover, gf, wife. Also depends on the issue.

I trust till it is proven to me I can't trust.
I also believe in the adage that truth will stand on it's own. Before truth is out of the starting gate a lie is halfway around the world, growing and picking up speed as it goes.

Family I don't trust all of them no absolutely not.
Friends yes or they aren't my friends.
Loved ones again till I am shown repeatedly I can't.

I heard dat, Pats! bigsmile

I do find it interesting that most of us feel that we can't unconditionally trust the ones who are close to us...maybe "Know thine enemy" really is a poingnant statement...

With the stuff that matters (like being able to hand my apt key to them if I'm stuck in the hospital, knowing that they'll stand up for me if someone bashes me behind my back, etc.) yes, unconditionally.

With the little stuff, like loaning a CD to my sis, or a book to my friend & expecting it back (sometime in this decade)...lol, well I've learned who I can & can't lend stuff to.
