A girl that is willing to be treated like a doormat or booty call. She is a girl that will allow guys to do whatever they want with her and will just wait for them to 'holla back' at them.
Doormat, and she comes when you call, sounds like my kinda babe ^_^ |

I have a few fellows in that position. Are the guys called "Hollaback Boyz"? Need to know so I know how to properly address them.

ok, so it's the same thing as a "Booty-call"
Available upon your request, no strings, no questions...at your leisure...nothingpersonal...just straight sex... Sounds the same to me??? |

Doesn't that song drive you bananas? The incessant beat, the stomping, the shushed-out swear words, and just what the heck is Gwen Stefani talking about? We don't want to get everybody fired up, so we put our pom-poms down and tackled this most important inquiry. After a few times around that track, we discovered what a Hollaback Girl is and why Gwen ain't one.
Cheerleading as the source of the slang. The cheerleading captain 'hollas' a chant to the squad, and the girls 'holla' it back. So the hollaback girl is a follower, and by extension, she is treated like a doormat, especially by boys. a hollaback girl is all talk, no action, and won't fight back. |

Odd. In my whole entire life, I have yet to "holla" at somebody.
I feel so inadequate. I've never "holla"-ed. |

Now this is weird. Down my way, and I'm sure in other Southern places, we've always said things like, "Holler at me some time", or "I'll holler at you when I can", or even "So and so wants you to holler at them". And whenever I used those expressions up in New York, people thought I was weird, like why would you holler at someone? And now, every body up North is using the expression like "Holler back". What makes it so different from how we say it down South, compared to how people say it up North?
I don't get it. |

Now I wonder. |
