Use your imagination A thousand fears of terrible consequences Will never come to pass They vanish In the hands of the magician Yet nothing is gone Lurking somewhere Only one can pull them back out According to a whim Shock the audience And squeals of laughter and delight Even fright reveal The power of illusion A huge bouquet Blooms and disappears Crimson petals rain Turning to pink smoke Never reaching earth Hint of perfume And a collective sigh From within A closed palm A long silk handkerchief Pure white gleams masterfully teased For an arms length and even further underneath another Long-stemmed red rose, moist and freshly cut On bended knee Offering A special guest In the first row Eyes glistening
