Topic: There is no sin, there are no commandments | |

Abra, it's obvious that you have an axe to grind. If you truely believe in God, I suggest you pray about it. Axe to grind? I have no axe to grind. I simply shared my view on an ancient dogma that truly spreads hatred and division among people whist claiming to be the word of our creator. You apparently even agree that the dogma does precisely that as you yourself refuse to advocate its violent message. Yet what do you do? You turn around and post quotes from the very book that you yourself have denounced. I think you've just supported Jeanniebean's observation that Christians are often confused. One minute they denounce the dogma, the next minute they are quoting from it. If you want to quote from the Bible try this one on for size: According to the Bible Jesus said, "Ye are also Gods". If that's not Eastern Mysticism I don't know what is. Clearly the authors of the Bible were just as confused about their own stories as you are. So don't feel bad about it. It's an extremely ambiguous and self-inconsistent story. This is why there are so many variations of it, from Judaism, to Islam, to Catholicism, to the myriad of protestants protesting every little thing. Clearly it's an ambigous mythology. There's no need to pray. We can already see that the Bible is not the word of any God. We already have that answer. You see Allen, I don't need the Bible to be true to believe in spirituality. Clearly you do. I guess you're the one who needs to pray for an answer of why half the book is so full of hate and violence and the other half looks more like Buddhism. Let me know if you get a rational answer to that prayer. I'd love to hear the explanation. |

I do not agree with all Christians. I admit that I sometimes cringe when I see them attempting to battle a logical arguement based on their emotions and personal convictions, even though I share the same... I admit that some are misguided in their unsolicited attemps to convert others to their beliefs, as I believe one both teaches AND learns by example, not by proselytizing or bible thumping, which I see as doing more harm than good, for the most part.
This is a start in my opinion. You are one of the first Christians Ive actually seen be so honest as to admit some of their actual behaviors on this forum. Most of the time they simply project onto others and make unfounded accusations and attempt to misrepresent themselves in the role of "victim." However, "non-believers" as we are referred to unjustifiably I might add, also have absolutely no right to attack or make personal insults based on one's beliefs. That is clearly wrong and would simply be reducing oneself to the same type of behavior. Two wrongs dont make a right. However the difference is an honest question or criticism is NOT attacking and some distinction needs to be made here. This is the entire reason that the GR forum exists. |

any higher intelligence, any greater wisdom, any sovernity, any understanding, any kindness, any love, any spirit of god, must be built upon the foundation of total equality amoungst all mankind..........
if equality is applied, than hate is included within love......... if two have learned to accept hate as part of love, love can remain....... what mankind has believed in days past, as some guide for now, could never serve well, less reverse was the way......... if history has always been repeating, then likewise, each generation had opportunity to be taught the same greater principles......... the human brain being a biased comparative learning tool in all ways, cannot leave this format, without express divine invitation, when destined equality come to town, and knock on the hearts door........ equality reign supreme, when prophecies "in part", are no longer seen as whole........ the falicy of trying to believe in god, create only imaginations as proof...... to doubt reveal the only evidence of truth..... if doubting thomas was the cursed one, why was he SHOWN THE PROOF? true belief in anything, make it a logic, which make it a perception, no longer then even known to self as a belief......... to believe in nothing, is the ability to believe in all....... clinging to what is believed can save oneself in time of peril, show more belief in evil and doom and satan, than any god...... if god is not equality, then hell is a much better place........ true love would gladly go to hell to save any friend....... perfect love reside within each, and mortality exist only to make one see clearly what it is........ |

The implication behind the term "non-believer" is that we do not believe in the same invisible man then you so we are automatically deemed to "not believe"
Just because we might accept another set of myths, does not make that person a "non-believer". Try using that term in the face of a Muslim. |

Try using that term in the face of a Muslim. No No No. A non-believer is a person who does not believe in aliens. Or Santa Claus. Or The Easter Bunny. Or the tooth fairy. Or the giant spaghetti monster god. |

A non- believer is a person who does not believe in vampires.

The attitude and energy of Akasha Queen of the Damned in that movie was very similar to the attitude and energy of the Draconian Queen.
Humans are nothing. They are merely food. Food, slaves, and maybe if you are lucky, pets. |

There is no sin, there are no commandments
there is only sex and rock and roll and the Queen of the Damned is hot! the movie series "V" is also great to watch on how it is |

People talk of "free will" but they don't practice it. If free will has any meaning or truth at all there can only be suggestions. No such thing as commandments. These are guidelines which were later called "commandments" by men who wanted more control over the flock. There is no "sin" as the term is only owned by religious doctrine to describe disobedience of God. Outside of a religious organization or belief, the word "sin" is meaningless. There is no sin. There are no commandments. There is only freedom. Freedom is paramount. Ah freedom. Is everyone free to do what they want? Free from consequence? There is no sin but there are consequences. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. |

Psalm 2
[1] Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? [2] The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, [3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. [4] He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. [5] Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. [6] Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. [7] I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. [8] Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. [9] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. [10] Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. [11] Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. |

Psalm 2 of the Peaceful One 1) Why do the Christians rage, and the people imagine such evil god who believes in heathens 2)The king is everyone, and the people come together, against no one for all are equal 3)Let us come together and love each other equally 4)He who sits in the heavens shall ALL sit with him as a equal 5)Then he shall speak to them about peace and love that brings laughter and joy 6)All can sit with me on a hill or on a mountain, it matters not 7)I will declare onto thee that we are all brothers and sisters and should be blessed to be 8)Ask of me and I shall help you in what I can for I know you would do the same for me 9)Thou shall never use violence for it is not necessary, but show logic, wisdom, and serenity 10)Be wise now for your knowledge is given to you to do what is right for all humanity 11)Serve everyone with pride for we are all brothers and sisters 12)Kiss everyone who needs help, help everyone who needs assistance, for it is the right thing to do to gain trust |

Accept the responsibility for the consequences before you decide to act. You are free, but you will pay the consequences of your actions. |
