 I dont see why it would make you uncomfortable as long as they werent making advances towards you. I guess some people are just really homophobic.

Exactly . I'd be flattered. I really don't see what would be so uncomfortable about it, unless they were completely throwing themselves at you after they knew you weren't interested.
