My Dad was a very strict & judgemental man who thought the world viewed his "greatness" through his children. We all had to be "perfect". There was no excuse for not getting all A's on our report cards. I know for a fact that I slacked off in a rebellious manner... But now that I'm an adult...I have the power to CHOOSE what I can excell in... Now that the pressure is off, I find life much more enjoyable.

I just heard a story about a man who was given the honor of being known as the World's Greatest Cellist... When asked why he still continued to get up early every morning & practice the cello for 5hrs...he smiled & said "I think I'm getting better!"

Do you think you live up to your potential?

not until someone says "she's right up there with tom clancy and stephen king." then... then i'll hit my potential.

Yep, i've pretty much done everything i've ever wanted to do... Im just coasting now...
I've been waiting my whole life for the day I could do nothing but relax and have fun, and im getting real good at it.
I suppose it would have been fun to retire with more money than I did, but I figure I had my chance, gave it my best shot, and a few bad choices took me out. Thats fine... I've made living and having fun with little money an artform. Some people work until the day they die, and I think thats sad, but some people either never feel satified with what they have, or hate it when someone else does better than them. Personally, im happy for people who have lots of money and sucess, but at the same time, I feel very good about the way things turned out for me. I figure you have to work with what you have, and thats exactly what im doing. I have fun every day
