to take your christmas tree down before new years????? or am i being silly?? Take it down when you need to...I never heard any bad luck things associated with doing it, actually. I only heard you were "supposed" to leave it up until Jan 6th for Epiphany, but I'm usually ready for the house to be cleaned up and fresh before then. |

I hope not, because mine is down and forgotten already. It felt good to have the space back and looking forward to the new year.

Don't ya know that on Dec. 27th you're supposed to take down the decorations, and the tree. Put the decorations away and use the tree to make Fir Pie for New Years Day

Isn't Fir Pie a lil tricky to eat with a hangover?

Take it down when you feel like it.No jinx,no superstition, mostly tradition since New Years is considered a holiday. I`ve had mine up since Nov. 28th,will take it down after 1/2/09 since I have the time off to do it.
