Maybe. I know I don't feel bad about it. But then, I kinda decided to take this Christmas off.
I just got tired of people asking me if I was ready for Christmas yet for the past two weeks. As ready as I'll ever be. |

This seems to be the topic today, I don't have a problem being single at any point. as far as Christmas I'm spending it with family.

I am sorry you feel so alone. I have spent many holidays alone last year was the worst for me. I was in Seattle didn't know a soul, my son was literally dying in the hospital and it was getting to me. So I took a look around and realized that there were so many in the hospital that had no one. I started going around and saying hello, and asking if there was anything I could do for them. Before I knew it I wasn't alone anymore. Here in Sitka I will be working part of the day then I am off and will be having a quiet dinner here at home.
Here is something I have done for years volunteer at the local community hall and help serve. I know this probably wasn't what you wanted to hear. But remember it could always be worse than it is. I guess what I am trying to say in a very long winded way is when we don't concentrate on how alone we are and find some way to give we get so much back. Merry Christmas |

haha thank you i would have to take you up on that if i was there Hey believe me I would not offer if I was not totally serious. Actually both of my kids are just a bit older then you are my daughter is in the picture with me and is 24 and my son is 26. Heck year before last my son and all his roommates he had at the time decided to cook Thanksgiving Dinner. Well I was cordially invited and did not know how special I was till I got there I was in fact the only parent that was invited and showed up. They had a keg and planned a party for later. Well I stayed and ate had me a couple glasses of wine got all my hugs from the whole group and bowed out they even asked me to stay and party with them. Made me feel really good to know that even my kids friends actually don't mind being around me. But......I told them all they would in fact have more fun and could be themselves without supervision. Around here it is a bit quieter no big parties but no one is left alone if I can help it they are welcome to eat with us and hang out and then usually the kids go off doing what kids do at that age. |
