im sick of the feeling that you have to be nice to family cause your related,,,

Yeah, I never really understood that, either. I mean, some of them might be great people, but why do you HAVE to be nice to the jerks just because of some genetic similarity?

But then, I don't have any family, so it's sort of a tangential point for me....I just try to evaluate everyone on their own merits and go from there....

I'm work Christmas day so I don't have to be with the family. I'm more than ready for it to be over!!!

What's not to love about Christmas with my family? They eat too much, get drunk, usually at least one person gets maudlin, and at least one other gets belligerent and starts a fight with someone cause they took the last snowman cookie. Who can't fall in love with that!

I'm gonna pass on Christmas with the fam as often as I can

I'd give anything to be with my family as opposed to being alone in another state.

At least this year with the snow it will be strictly limited to those already in my household.
