Baker: No Cake For Little Hitler

The trouble, the New Jersey shop said, was that it was "inappropriate" to put such a name on the cake.

But the little boy's father, Heath Campbell, said it was unfair of ShopRite supermarket to turn down his request.

Heath Campbell said he named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because "no one else in the world would have that name".

Referring to the baker's decision, he said: "They need to accept a name. A name's a name.

"The kid isn't going to grow up and do what Hitler did."

But the problem does not stop there.

The shop has also refused to make a cake for Mr Campbell's second child, who turns two next February.

Her name is JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell.

Heath and Deborah Campbell's third child will probably not get a cake from that shop either.

The eight-month-old baby has been named Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, apparently a reference to one of the Nazi's most monstrous leaders, SS head Heinrich Himmler.

For the time being, the matter has been settled - the Campbells had their cake made by Wal-Mart.

Poor kid, I'd just make my own cake. *shrugs*

why they named him that isnt really important is it? I mean not to belittle your query but there are dumber names out there. Yes Hitler was a horrible man but his name was just that, A NAME. an innocent bystander that couldn't escape the shadow of this man's horrible deeds. I mean you never know This boy could do great things in life and have a spirit greater than any philanthropist in history. However, he could also be the devil incarnante. My point is that either way his name wouldn't determine his nature that is just rediculous. I think the bakery should issue an apology written/spoken to the family and the issue should be left alone. Because while i believe the bakery's choice to be wrong it is their right to refuse service to anyone for any reason under the law no matter how crappy their decision was.

it is just a name but as humans we prejudge by names he is already destined to have a hard time in school because kids suck i had a hard time for being India can u imagine hitler

Wow...that's a name I never thought I'd see again. Always figured you would wind up in trouble, especially if you had an accent...think of school; "Adolf?" and the reply while raising hand up "Heil".

Sue could still get a cake...even if his parents weren't right in the head.

Thats horrible of those parents to do that to their own child. Its going to put a stigma on the poor kid and he will have to go through the hassle of legally changing it. Some people are too insane to be parents flat out.

The article I read said the parents also wanted a swastika on the cake. I would have made the cake, but only with the kids name. The kid shouldn't be punished because his parents are douche bags.

Makes you wonder how long the parents will have custody flaunting the their idiotcy? Feel sorry for these kids. Refuseing to make the cake just gives the parents the attention they are seeking.
