Topic: How Long? | |

How long would you say it would be good time to carry a
relationship into marriage planning? Some people say......2 years Some say....... 1 year Others say within months. I believe in love at first site but, I think that if someone tells you they love you very much within 3 days, For me, that's a bit tooo soon. Please share your opinion. Thanks, God bless |

I think it depends on the couple. My grandparents dated for 3 months and have been married for over 55 years.
I know with myself that I would probably need about 2 years to really get to know someone, but might know sooner that its a person that I might be willing to marry. |

their is no time for the right time to do it. even when you think that the other is the one and you do. things change and then you come here to find a new one.

I'm with Tanya on this one - there are so many variables. I do know, that pre-kiddo I'd have been quicker to say 'i do' - now that she's here, it'll have to be at least two years until I'm ready to say those two words.

I agree with tanya ann,
I would wait at least 2 years. But most importantly make it a matter of prayer. Thanks for sharing, God Bless |

I've never been married.
Most people on here seem to HAVE BEEN. At least once. Do you see my logic here? |

I think this is purely subjective to the two people involved.
I first laid eyes on my first husband on February 15th married him on May 7th we had a great marriage till the day he died almost 9 years later. My second marriage I lived with him for almost a year and it was hell from the wedding day on. My parents dated 3 years and divorced with in 6 months before I was even born. My grandparents were penpals met on a Tuesday and married on a Friday they would have been married 75 years the year my grandmother passed on. I think instead of time being relative the relationship and communciation skills is what is important. Time is relative and has no meaning. You just know I think. |
