Huh? Gosh, I would have thought they were assuming the person lost weight. Or that they thought the person always looked ill. I wouldn't have assumed they meant the person put on weight. |

Well it depends who is dispensing the platitude. If they thought you had lossed weight, they would say, "You look great!" "You look awesome!" And I have responded, "I feel healthy!" |

I've actually gotten comments like that lately and the funny thing is that it has very little to do with weight and a lot more to do with my attitude and outlook on life.
