Yes, it depends on the situation. But in general when you review your daily actions...Do you view yourself as a giver or a taker??? How do others view you?
Do you cut people off in traffic, always trying to beat the system, cut in line, lie for your own benefit.... or do you offer help, unsolicited? Like to please others....etc. Get it? I am Giver! |

I'm in the business of helping people. If something comes my way, I'll take it. I do my best to live a life of integrity and honor, so I won't lie, cheat, or steal to get what I want.

I've basically spent my whole life being everyone's counselor/helper. Give give give. Which is fine, except that, in those rare circumstances where I could use a little help myself, everyone vanishes.

I have similar experiences. But upon reflection, it is difficult for me to accept help from others.......even more difficult to ask for it, when it is needed...

I'm a giver very seldom will you ever hear me ask anyone to do anything for me.
I never expect anything in return for anything I do for anyone just a smile and a friendly conversation does it for me.

Most definitely a giver. Thats just how I am, never ask for anything or expect anything in return when I do give to others.

You? Oh, absolutely. I have always had a very difficult time asking anybody for anything. It just seems very "unnatural" somehow. But when something truly disastrous happens, there are times when there's simply no other choice. And that's when all my "friends" suddenly turn invisible. You find out who's who. |

There is a country song like that..Find out who your friends are. A true friend would never turn their back when you need help. I can honestly say,that I have only 3 really true friends. They helped me out in a very difficult time in my life. |
