I watched the youtube thing. First it was the rear, second he didn't do the inner bearing, third it was a toyota.

So what I did was I clicked on the front wheel bearing on that same screen,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUFe8GqEG14&feature=related and that was a mitsubishi.

Either way they both used tools, that I don't have. The second one did replace the inner wheel bearings however he had a vice grip and some other tools that I don't. If the Mitsubishi model is the same as the Nissan 240sx model for the bearings, then and only then would I attempt it. However, neither of them talked about them being pressed. Plus different types of vehicles have different layouts. On the 240sx forum it clearly says it's pressed you must replace the whole hub unless you can press it which means it's not a DIY project. The 240sx forum is all about DIY work and suggestions and that person was clearly told you're beat for the 240 kind of like how the mechanic sent me on my way instead of trying to give me tips to do it myself.

Ok so I did some more research.

This time I am going to use a sports car since my car is a sports car.. Toyota and a Mitsbushi not sports cars.

http://www.blauparts.com/audi/audi_wheel_bearings/front_audi_wheel_bearing_kit.shtml

When you visit that site you can scroll down to the do you have any questions on how to install front wheel bearings. They talk about pressing and requiring special tools and should be done by an ASE certified mechanic because if done wrong premature failure results and premature failure=wheel lock or actually FALLING off the vehicle which could potentially kill me or others. THis isn't changing your tire, this isn't changing your oil or belts or brake pads. This is a pretty serious job oh wait it is probably the most serious job you can **** up in the car not because it will cost you a lot to replace *which it will* but because it can take your life and my car can't flip over with me living..

everyone is there sooner or later

all you can do is bite the bullet and do what you have to do

the best sounded like staying with your folks awhile. if it's three hours to a job interview, be sure to leave early in case you get caught in traffic

We cannot go three days without water, but we can go weeks with *zero food*. You need much less food than you think, and if you're willing to cut corners and spread the calories out, you could probably make do with 100-150 calories a day.

That'd save you some money.

Also, become vegetarian/vegan. Eat beans and bread for protein...fruits for the rest of your nutrients. That should be much cheaper than eating meat.

Don't eat out. Beans are easy to cook: Hot oil + one fifth chopped onion + black pepper. Add beans. One apple, one orange, half a banana, and water for drink. Eat that little by little through the day and that's one day's meal. Should have cost around $2...maybe add some rice or bread.

Simple things like that are tasty, nutritious.

Then, I'd go to your landlord and explain your situation. Ask him if you can pay half the rent this time around, then once you have unemployment money or a bit more money, you'll forward him one and a half month's rent or two months rent or something. Your landlord might do that.

And make sure you be prompt about that money. If you show yourself to be on time, your landlord will be more understanding later.

Try to carpool or go ask your neighbors about buses.

No new clothes, use blankets and clothes instead of heating.

Fix your car if absolutely necessary.

I know it sounds a little draconian, but I think that's what I'd do if I was really hard up for cash. Best of luck!

So I have a dilemma which is keeping me awake...

I have 1,200.00 left. I have no job. I am collecting unemployment but I have yet to get the money and it most likely won't be available until mid January at the very earliest.

My car needs wheel bearings 817.00 rent is 400.00.

I could fix the car and possibly pay January rent. Then I would have no money for food or gas money or anything for that matter.

I could fix the car, get an additional 300.00 for my security deposit, and move back into my parents house leaving me with about 500.00 in my pocket, plus I would still be collecting unemployment. The problem with this is, they live in the middle of NOWHERE! It would be at least a 3 and a half hour drive to an interview at the very least. Plus I'd have to come up with security all over again and 1st month and probably last month's rent, plus gas to go to and from interviews with. Gas thankfully is cheaper...

Suggestions?
do you have roommates or live by yourself?
