ya wanna make the bestsellers list then..at least once?? u need an offa the wall story babe. im workin on mine in my head..but it hasnt hit me yet...i need to concentrate The first one is about as off the wall as it gets -- guy goes to sleep at night -- the next morning, he and his house are a mile and a half away from where they started out the night before.... Actually, quite a few people from this site have read it.... The second one just came out November 8 -- short stories and poems....some of the short stories tie into the first book.... who/what is your inspiration?? what makes you wanna write?? |

The dream job I'd really like is doing voice-overs for radio/tv ads.
The dreamy-dream job I'd like is test car/truck driver for off-road, and car and driver magazines. OR. With all the college classes I've taken in law enforcement, and being a former sheriff's deputy, a position as a free-lance criminal investigator(non csi) would be sweet. |

who/what is your inspiration?? what makes you wanna write?? It's hard to explain -- it's more of an outlet, I think....? I used to be involved in a lot of musical things -- bands, songwriting, etc. -- but it got frustrating because it never turned out the way I heard it in my head. I found I wasn't meant to collaborate with people on anything creative. I had to do it myself, the way I wanted it to be done. Writing was a natural choice -- I had always done it -- I've done magazine stuff, comic strips (working on a compilation of one of the comic strips for release as a trade paperback down the road), TONS of website stuff -- and I had about a thousand story ideas -- so it just went from there. |

who/what is your inspiration?? what makes you wanna write?? It's hard to explain -- it's more of an outlet, I think....? I used to be involved in a lot of musical things -- bands, songwriting, etc. -- but it got frustrating because it never turned out the way I heard it in my head. I found I wasn't meant to collaborate with people on anything creative. I had to do it myself, the way I wanted it to be done. i dont care about amking money offa it..but being published..so much pride in that. wow. someday..i want to read one of your books. im a speed reader.. i read a lotta horror/sci fi/nonfiction. There is nothing like holding that first proof copy in your hands and knowing this whole thing came from your own brain. My first one is humorous sci-fi (gets compared to Douglas Adams a lot, which is a nice compliment) -- the second one is a little grimmer -- still keeps the sci-fi component but with a somewhat darker tone -- the third one (it's about half-done) will be even darker, but the fourth is a sequel to the first and goes back to the humor. I wanted to do something that, while clearly a cohesive series, incorporates different styles.... |
