A friend of mine first told me about this site a few months ago. She told me not to waste my time with it. She gets a little over excited about things sometimes. I have found her information about some of the negative things to be accurate. The one thing that bothers me is the attacks by people who seem to get some kind of enjoyment out of messing with other peoples attempt to have a good time. Personally I feel sorry for those type of people, they lack any kind of real maturity. Never the less, this could be why there are so few people who actually take part in the forums on this sight. If we encourage people to take part in the forums and then they are ridiculed for their lack of experiance in the "forum world" or take stabs at their way of looking at things, or we treat their comments with disrespect, sooner or later enough people will loose interest in this site that it will no longer be profitable for the operators to keep it going. Think about these things the next time you decide to respond to someones negativity and or the next time you want to come across as a A_ _ H _ _ _!

As far as blogging/posting on the internet, the upside is that you get to be your real true butthole self without immediate tactile consequences. And the downside is that you get to be your real true butthole self without any immediate tactile consequences... |

Dear Lurker:
Assuming that you are relatively new to Mingle2, and assuming that I did not welcome you, I wish you the best of times. After you have been active for some time, and post hundreds of comments, then feel free to lurk and be invisible again. It is a worthwhile experiment, to consider how the other members who welcome your participation. This is a thing that you might want to remember, so that you do not get hung up in feeling "not missed" when you are not active. Being a welcome presence is far different than being missed. Think on it. Have a grand time. |

Welcome agrant333! Or can i call you Lurker? If you have enough time on your hands to read Lex's profile, you have enough time to join us in these threads! The profile takes 11 months and 16 days to complete, according to the International Profile Weights and Measures Institute in Luxembourg. *AHEM* Not proud to announce this, but my OB/GYN's "weights and measures" scale in Salisbury Steak, NC says my profile weighs in just FINE, and then some! *stares at Billy Blanks tapes collecting dust*.... |
