Someone I know here is thinking about proposing it to someone. I wrote an "indecent proposal" letter for someone once and she got what she wanted.
SOOOOO ... Have you ever come right out and asked someone for such an arrangement - by email OR verbally? Try to keep it clean ... but help me convince her to "just do it!"

it didn't work out so well for me. i had one arrangement like that and because we were friends, he felt like he'd hurt my feelings if he told me he'd found someone he was genuinely interested in. in turn, i lost a friend.

I understand they don't work out always and it sucks. I'm trying to find out about the circumstances in which people ASKED for it. (ie: Was there rejection, success, awkwardness, what?)
I think to do an FWB, you need to pick an occasional sort of friend on your periphery and not someone central to your life. This way, if you lose him/her, it won't be AS painful. |

Friends with benefits can be a good arrangement as long as both parties are on the same page....it is especieally useful when your friend will approach a potential love on your behalf and encourage the hook up......Helped my good friend get married that way....in turn she got me more *ss while out clubbing than should be allowed!
