Topic: George Bushes true legacy | |
---|---|
Sure let's let the current administration escape all responsibility so we can spend our time pointing fingers and play politics. Let's forget about the deaths or innocent men women and children. Let's forget about throwing the international reputation of this country all the way down the toilet. Let's forget about extra-legal manipulation of U.S. and international laws and treaties. Let's forget about clearly illegal actions as well. Let's forget about engaging in torture. Let's forget about channeling obscene amounts of money into the pockets of political cronies in the name of security spending while sending men and women to war without proper weapons, vehicles or body armor. Let's forget about appointing a horse show judge to head a government agency that let people criminally mishandled the Kitrina disaster. Let's forget about the firing of attorneys from the justice department and the hiring of idiots simply because they were members of the "right" party. Let's forget about the creation of programs to spy on Americans without warrant. Let's forget about the fact that the majority of 9/11 bombers were Saudi. Let's forget about Afghanistan. Let's forget that no weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq. Let's forget about the outing of a CIA officer by the administration. Let's forget that Osama Bin Laden has yet to be found. Let's forget about the stunning mismanagement of the war effort in Iraq. Let's forget about Bush standing on an aircraft carrier under a banner of lies. Sure...it's the democrats fault. You are right to some extent. It's all our faults if we don't demand accountability and question the next president. This is two things. Shotgun argumentation. A type of argument that is a large number of facts or questions with the goal being to intimidate or frustrate your opponent into not answering. It's also gratuitous assertions, because there is absolutely no facts that could identify these accusations and there is no supporting date or logic. |

I will argue my beleifs of any point. You prove me wrong and I learn something. So far you have not! Trying to expand so Im not "Ignorant".. I believe we went through the same crap on another issue. Okay, if you agree to be open minded, then calmly and clearly ask your question. What is it that you want me to prove? Please be specific and reasonable when you make your request. (Please don't come back and say "Everything you've posted". Specifically tell me what I have posted that you feel needs to be proven) That isn't a question, it's a series of questions... Let me break it down, so I know what you want answered. I will list your question in black and a comment from myself in red following the question. 1) What has that got to do with it. What is "that"? I'm not sure what the subject is. Is this a request for proof? 2) Do you want to SAVE the world while our own people suffer? You are not asking for proof... 3) One thing, if Afghanistan is so important why did we pull resources out to fight Iraq? You are not asking for proof... 4) It left our own troops there more vulnerable..Oh but the surge in Iraq worked!!! Pay people money not to fight does wonders dont Statements, not questions. So you were supposed to be asking for proof, but as far as I can tell (unless 1 is a request for proof) you aren't asking for proof. No, you are just getting shots in at the war on terror, which clearly demonstrates that you aren't being very open minded and you aren't interested in hearing the other side. That what is called "willfully ignorant". Which means someone who doesn't want to hear the facts, because he or she is happy not knowing the truth. |

LIES? Then why are we still there? We are there because Saddam... 1) lied about having WMDs 2) kicked out inspectors 3) Didn't obey the terms of the treaty he signed. We haven't left because Iraq isn't stable enough for us to do so. They would descend into civil war and be easy prey to their neighbors. We are there still because they want us there and they need us there. |

3) Prove that Reagan didnt carry on the support that Carter started? Your ignorance is amazing. CARTER abandoned our ally the Shaw. REAGAN supported Saddam. BUSH 41 ended our support of Saddam. I have no problem with Reagan supporting what our intelligence said was the lesser of two evils. Unlike you, I live in the real world, where mistakes are made and we can't just point our fingers at the president and blame him for believing bad intelligence and doing his job. |
