maybe you need to go see a doctor, maybe something wrong with your ears. Or maybe some kind of tv or radio or whatever is going off near you and making noise and you can't tell where it is coming from.

Maybe a bird crawled up your ear and is telling you get high

however, i do agree with the computer guy, it may be your computer, cause mine did that a while back too, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. had to take it to the shop. My pc repair guy cleaned it out. May have to take it back again soon though. LOL

For some reason I am always hearing some kind of whining or "white noise" I don't know why...it's kind of annoying while I'm trying to sleep. And just to shut down all you that are going to reply to this...NO, it's not a woman nagging in my ear, I don't have one of those yet

Do you suffer from Vertigo at all too? That is an effect of it. |

Congestion can cause this as well. If it continues, see your doctor. Because it's clicking, I'm guessing its slight congestion with pressure being periodically relieved through your ears.
