They may be willing to really make a deal. Looked at one on line and now the dealer won't stop calling me.

American made cars are crap.

They use the cheapest parts, plastic that can't handle heat and dries out and cracks easily, parts that can only be changed by the dealership, then they upcharge everything by 16 times the amount. The fuel economies are the worst in the world... on purpose.

I'd rather ride my bike than to ever drive a ford or GM these days.

Well as a GM stock holder who got screwed because they refused to actually market an affordable car that was safe, sturdy enough to have resale value, and not cost a fortune to insure I am kind of peeved.

I really can not understand why they have failed to market the cars they have and waited until they are up to their ears in inventory to get in gear. Selling cars on expensive car lots is an outmoded idea. Why there are not better trade in programs and incentives is clear the cars are shot. That customers have to pay extra to buy a package of options they actually want is ridiculous when they could go to a cyber show room and have what they want delivered from the factory.

People got fed up with the purchaseing programs that make it possible for wealthy people to hell a car and palm it off on lower income earners under obscene financeing programs. The number of people who were gouged by unscrupulous dealerships that put them upside down in debt.

They have a huge senior market but fail to design anything remotely accessible. Cars should include scooter options so that drivers can go from the house in the car and from the parking lot into shopping.

They refused to recognize that the oil companies have made fuel so expensive that many families have to choose between commuteing to work and buying food but waited until way too late to get hybrids in production.

They refuse to put a stop to useing shoddy parts in starters, door locks, interiors, gas caps, and catching up with the cell phone revolution. People are furious that GPS and theft recovery programs were ten years late.

I'll be hanged if I am going to buy a car from a company that manages their bussiness so badly that family and friends are uninsureable and having to have my help to be supported because their retirements are weaseled on while executives get multi-million dollar parachutes.

If they are stupid enough to think we are going to look the other way while they also take a bite out of my taxes they are sadly mistaken.

Oh, I might get a truck, I don't know about a car. If you are asking if I'd be worried about buying a car and then the company closing down, I'm not. Why would I care if they closed after I bought it? I never buy the warranty anyway, that's just betting that I bought a POS to begin with.

I think it would be a good time for somebody to buy a vehicle IF they had the money and decent credit to get a good rate.

Of course, but it would be a CHEVY. I don't care for Fords. To many past problems. I really want a 67 Chevy Camero
