In most cases many people will agree that "the book was better", but here are a few exceptions imo.

Lord Of The Rings the movie was just like I imagined it from the book Really? I felt that six movies were required to properly follow the books. |

I thought the Hunt for Red October was pretty good!!
One part of the book would have been REAL hard to film though. And The Borne Supremacy wasn't ANYTHING like the book!!! |

Lord Of The Rings the movie was just like I imagined it from the book Really? I felt that six movies were required to properly follow the books. even though they left out Tom Bombadil, and the Barrow wights, and replaced Glorfindel with Arwen, I think they did a really good job of following the book. I was pretty impressed. I didnt think anyone would ever be able to make the Lord of the Rings |

A Clockwork Orange--good choice Fight Club--never read the book. The Shawshank Redemption--great choice One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest--No way. Great movie but.... The book is brilliant. And it came first. I'm wondering why no one's mentioned "Silence of the Lambs?" |

The books are normally better because you see the heros thoughts and ideas not really done well on the big screen

The books are normally better because you see the heros thoughts and ideas not really done well on the big screen A GREAT book is ALWAYS better than the movie. Even if the screenplay is written by the original author, there is never as much time to develop characters and plot as there is in books. |
