is alergic to your pet,do you give up the pet or the new love?

My pets are part of my family and my life.They are not disposable.Hopefully I would find a way to keep both.But if not I could not really be happy cause I would likely resent the person if I was forced to give them up. So I would not likey even fall in love with somebody that could not be around animals.

I would get him some Clariton D, about a months worth, then see if he stays longer than a month.

Humm well in the first place would hope they had brought that issue up before we got that far. If not then well he better get some medicine to help with his problem. A true pet owner would not just ditch their animals they have had for a while for someone you have no idea how long they will stay around. Looks like it to me they would have to make amends or move on. I mean I could understand maybe not letting the animals sleep in the same room and doing the best to keep everything as clean as possible due to pet dandy ect.. But other then that my dog is staying I mean I would not get rid of my kids if they did not like kids so why should I get rid of my dog.

I'd give up a pet depending on the right circumstances for love.

no. i stock up on claritin and hang out at his house. i keep my pets clean and groomed and my house extremely clean. i buy an ionic breeze to trap pet hair and i take care of him as much as i can. but no. i do not get rid of my pet.

NO! I would not give-up my dog for anyone or any reason. It would not only break my heart, but the hearts of my three children. If someone I was interested in were allergic...we would find a compromise, I'm sure.

If she's allergic to my pet then she's allergic to my pet's presence on me and that won't work. And I don't even have a pet.
