Topic: Was Jesus A Pantheist

a pantheist will claim to follow a universal god and that they themselves are Gods and they follow no set religion but a spiritual philosophy of a universal God

Jesus followed a God but had no religion but did have a philosophy that he recommended that other follow because the God required them to ...which is the same philosophy of pantheists/deist ....

Jesus's message was geared towards delivering man from the religion of the old testament and into a philosophy of love called The New Testament ....so doesn't this makes Jesus a Pantheist

just like a pantheist Jesus didn't have any religion ...what was his religion?

just like a panthesit Jesus followed a philosophy not any religion ...Jesus wasn't even a Christian

just like a pantheist Jesus was supposely a God but not the universal God or what is known as being "the father"

Jesus's teachings took believers from the religion of an unseen cruel non-human spiritual deity into a more humane spiritual philosophy of Love

which means that Jesus was actually part of the pantheist movement ... which means that anyone that follows Jesus is technically a pantheist

If you compare much of what Jesus said with Buddhist teachings, which predate Jesus by about 600 years, they are virtually the same. There is a large school of thought that Jesus extensively studied Buddhism at some point in his life.

And, no, Jesus was not a Christian. He was born Jewish and died Jewish. He never renounced Judaism. flowerforyou

Jesus would have no reason to deny Judism he even said that he come not to change the laws of Moses ..Jesus just merely steered others away from the type of behavior handed down by God in the Old Testament.. I guess a lot of people found stoning unruly children and adulterers to death somewhat distasteful ..Jesus simply did what all religions whine up doing ..he simply formed a splinter sect

and as you said Buddah had the same philosophy but whether Jesus studied it we can only go by the old saying which is "if it's not written in the bible then it's didn't happen"

but Pantheism seems to be the logical reaction to those that what to follow a god but wish to follow no religion but do follow a philosophy of nature or what some may call the laws of attraction which is also somewhat questionable when the only laws that appears to be absolute for living things are to nutricate procreate and defecate

"feralcatlady"..did Jesus ever stone unruly children or adulterers to death as his father commanded others to do? ..if not then he didn't follow the religion but did follow the God and that makes Jesus a pantheist

Funch you have to get this....panthiest believe they are god, the flowers are god....There is only God and Jesus and it's arrogance how the panthiest think on things...

Jesus never taught that anyone else was God except God his Father....which because He is the Son also makes him God...

Jesus = Son of God PERIOD

Love you bunches, you know that. I respect you, respect your religion, respect your right to believe as you choose. But there are billions of people worldwide who do not hold the same beliefs as you. I am not saying you are wrong, of course, nor that anyone else is right. Just that we all have the right to our own personal beliefs and we have the right to question if that's where our beliefs lead us. Hindus believe that there are as many paths to God as there ever were, are or will be people on earth and that no path is wrong, so long as it leads to God. flowerforyou

ok "feralcatlady" has spoken ...so let it be written let it be done

but ...er..first I have a question ..aren't we all sons and daughters of God which in a sense makes us all atleast demi-gods or subservant to the universal god ...isn't that all the pantheists are saying when they proclaim themselves as being Gods and everything in God's creation is God

Hi doll....I can only answer anything with what I believe....And understand that my beliefs are because it happen to me....when the Lord showed me of his truths this was something that happened and was something that I could no longer will no longer deny his truths. If the Lord put me on this site in the first place to bring the gospel to the people of mingle...Well that is exactly what I will do. When it gets to be to much and I leave and I pray and he brings me right back. So I am not going to scarafice my truths just because people think I should. This is not to say that I don't think people can believe whatever gets them through...they can...I don't and won't shove my beliefs on others. But again all the behind the scenes is where it happens for me....not on the open threads.

I would not be a servant of God if I didn't give my opinions when things are brought up. If you for example want to believe in reincarnation ok....I will post what I believe and that is that. I will never judge anyone for what they believe and expect nothing less for myself. So when you say my God, Christ Jesus and the Bible are myths...this is when you will see the warrior side of Debbie...not because God needs me to defend to the contrary, but because it is not letting me have my rights to believe as I wish...It's a slap in my face and God's and his Son.

There are a lot of religions out there (manmade).....a lot who claim that there are many gods. For me this is just not the case...there is one God and he requires the two most importants commandments to all people.

Do not worship any other Gods, love me with all your heart, soul and mind and love thy neighbor as thyself. Those are two most important and the ones that Jesus' preached the most. Religion is of man.....mine is a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.

I for one think anyone one can believe what they want, or not believe.
But there is a diffrence between facts and belief.
to me there is no diffrence between jesus and thor.
But that is only because I go with evidence and facts and not a gut feeling.
There are many people that believe in many diffrent gods and all of them say their god is the right one, and are just as passionante about it.
And they are just as real to them as yours is to you.

It's crystal clear that Jesus was a pantheist.

He clearly taught the same things as Buddha.

He clearly denounced the teachings of the God of Abraham.

It's impossible for Jesus to have been the son of the God of Abraham.

The God of Abraham commanded that the Jews should stone sinners and heathens to death.

Jesus denounced stoning sinners to death which would automatically make Jesus a heathen with respect to the God of Abraham.

The God of Abraham commanded the Jews to seek revenge, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Jesus denounced revenge and taught to be forgiving and turn the other cheek.

Clearly Jesus did not agree with the God of Abraham at all.

It's impossible for Jesus to have been the son of the God of Abraham.

Jesus was a pantheist teaching the Eastern Mysticism of Buddha.

There's no doubt about it.

It's crystal clear.

Jesus was not the son of the mythological God of Abraham.

Of that there can be do doubt.

Just curious to know how do you know so much about Jesus?

It seems I regularly see you and a few others ranting on and on about this or that about Christians, so... tell me, how did you learn so much about Christians? Just curious.

And you avoided my question in another thread, so I'll post it here...

What do YOU believe Mr. Funches?

Shouldn't folks have an equal opportunity to dissect what you believe since you so vehemently dissect what others cherish and believe?

It would make very good sense, instead of always ranting about something it does not appear you really know much of anything about, to tell us all of the great wise things concerning what it is you have decided on believing, right?

I don't think you have the guts to tell folks what you actually believe. You just have this icky spot in you about Christians and you use this forum/dating site to vent it regularly. That's what I think.

And... an observation that most of the folks you do anti-Chrisitan philosophical combat with seem to be women... at least it appears so.

And no, Jesus was not a pantheist.

Funch is funch....he is hear to argue with the masses.....but nothing will ever change what I know to be truth.....And believe as you wish and please give the same respect to others....pretty simple really.....and like I said when I peek in and see a question, I can only answer it for myself. I am not a buddist so I would look pretty silly trying to answer a question as one.

And yes also very curious to what exactly funch does believe.

Just curious to know how do you know so much about Jesus?

I watched the King of Kings starring Jeffery Hunter and a couple of episodes of Star Trek (kirk, spock}

It seems I regularly see you and a few others ranting on and on about this or that about Christians, so... tell me, how did you learn so much about Christians? Just curious.

I read a book called "all you wanted to know about christians but was afraid to ask" .."TelephoneMan" what you think that Christians are some type of secret hidden society ..whats to know beyond that they supposely follow the teachings of Jesus Christ

And you avoided my question in another thread, so I'll post it here...

What do YOU believe Mr. Funches?

I probably answered it ..in fact I started a thread about it but I guess
you didn't comprehend it ..so here's the answer again

"to believe is to doubt" ...funches 3:16

Shouldn't folks have an equal opportunity to dissect what you believe since you so vehemently dissect what others cherish and believe?

sure why not ..if it will help place them on the path to true rightousness

It would make very good sense, instead of always ranting about something it does not appear you really know much of anything about, to tell us all of the great wise things concerning what it is you have decided on believing, right?

so "TelephoneMan" you are ranting about someone else ranting ...this seems a tad bit...er...how can I say this? .....hyprocritical?

I don't think you have the guts to tell folks what you actually believe. You just have this icky spot in you about Christians and you use this forum/dating site to vent it regularly. That's what I think.

I debate issues and don't resort to telling people that my beliefs are truth unless I can prove undisputably that it is ..

And... an observation that most of the folks you do anti-Chrisitan philosophical combat with seem to be women... at least it appears so.

just like in the Garden of Eden ...the women have the balls

And no, Jesus was not a pantheist.

thanks for making my point ...or can you give an explanation why Jesus is not a Pantheist ...at least the women try to
