Sure! Why not?- If that is something they strongly believe in and I care about that person- then of course I would have enough respect for them and their beliefs to wait- even if I was not the person they ended up with- it would be ok with me.

Nope. My sexuality is important to me, and I find it important to be able to share that fully with someone I have a relationship with. I would respect their choice and move on so we could both find more compatible partners.

If you love that person then why not respect their wishes. If you don't care enough about that person, then don't try to pressure them into doing something they don't want to do. You would be better off letting that person go and find someone else who believes as you do anyway.
