I won't marry anyone before I live with them first. It gives me the "get out of jail" card free

the question is, why get married?..there are no social taboos against living together, so aside from the government sanctioned benefits that you get..what other reason is there for marriage?

No, it smells so fresh and clean. I fold like a dream too, I used to work at the dreaded mall and I can make everything the same size without a board...

And this, on top of everything else, and you keep running into guys who aren't fit (literally) to lick your shoes! I swear, there is NO justice in this world....! |

Nope... I actually got an e-mail on the other site saying he was an open book and to ask away. This was in reply to me asking for more information.
Sigh. |

I agree, I know a lot of couples (mostly relatives) that were never married and they're doing great. On the flip side my parents didn't get married until they were in their forties. I have friends who have gotten married to their high school sweethearts and everything changed after the vows. Marriage just seems to change a lot in a relationship in many different ways. If anyone is thinking about it, I'd say be wary- there are better ways to proove your love for one another. |

I dont think anything really changes after you get married. I think we choose not to see alot of what is in front of our face the whole time.
Getting to know someone and all of their idiosincracies (sp*)? and loving them anyways...and accepting these is key. |

If I can't live with them...why marry?
