I voted for Senator Obama. Why? you ask. He is the best person for the job and I love America, in spite of its short cummings. America is the only country I am aware of that has a true middle class, which is great. Unfortunately the neocons or new republicans think the middle class is a threat to their amassed fortunes and are attempting to do away with them through economic means. The middle class have been lied to, by the established power and sadly, they have believed the lies, much like we believed there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Do yourselves a favor research the issues for yourselves and don't believe those who have a vested interest in your ignorance. A good start would be to read McCain's book. He clearly states that he cooperated with the enemy in Vietnam. He also states that he became mentally ill and suicidal. A second research goal might be to look-up Audie Murphy, a true hero. John was a POW. He has my sympathy for his plight but not my vote to deal with issues of this country. McCain has been tested in other areas he was given a free pass to Annapolis where he elevated him self to a few students from the bottom of his graduating class.How did he handle his his test as a pilot in the US Navy? He crashed several military planes, through pilot error and in one case causing the death of many of his shipmates. There is a picture of him running away from the accident while others were running toward it. He has voted against Veterans Administration funding in congress repeatedly, yet he says he is for Vets.
He says he knows how to win a war and get Osama Benladen. He has been in a position authority in congress for over 20 years, and has had the ear of the president for eight of those years. Why has he not done what he says he can do in all that time. He says he has been tested,. I say he has failed. His father and grandfather were dedicated men of service but this is not a monarchy and his opportunity was lost when he squandered the educational opportunity the American people gave to him based on his family's service. Like everything else in his life he will squander the security, wealth and security of America. This man has made a living sponging off the American taxpayer but we have not gotten our moneys worth. In fact we have lost on the deal!
