just wondered what i should do about my nabors??I just moved into an
apprment and my nabors are loud and they controll my heat. they turned
the heat off and the play loud music and have said that they are going
to kill me. i called the cops and they tryed but they made 7 trips here
last night in 3 hours the 8th time i called they said they could not
come back they gave up now my almost 2 year old daugther and i are here
frezzing and scard because i dont know what to do my land lourd wont do
anything and the cops gave up. so what do i do????

Call the Housing Authority - right away!! You pay rent and you have
rights!!!

Call the D.A.'s office and tell him/her the cops won't help you.

Hottie, Can you tell us in more detail what happened with the police?
Did you talk to them during any of the first seven visits? What did
they try to do? Did the police talk to your neighbors at all?

Also, as a temporary step maybe you could buy an electric space heater
or propane heater.

I would contact legal aid and report the landlord for one another tenant
shouldnt be in controle of your heat there should be two meter's ,and as
a last resort contact a womens shelter they may be able to help you
also,sence your being threatened. and like massagetrade said a small
space heater would work also but be careful with them ,dont leave them
on while you sleep ( God bliss )

Do you have relatives or close friends in the area? You probably
already have but if not make sure and let them know of the situation as
well, someone in your area you trust may be able to help with more
specific information. Keep us abreast of your situation so we know

well thank you well most of you. and well all the cop said was that its
a 50.00$ fine for noise after 11pm and that if they cant get them in the
act they cant do anything. as for my landlord is my uncle. hes not a lot
of help.

Well, it sounds like its the life of you family or that living space. If
it were my family, I'd move. Bad neighbors are not worth the hassle, and
dangerous neighbors are not worth the stress.

No moving isn't simple, but maybe your Uncle might be more protective if
you threaten to sue him for endangering you and your child. I know, it's
a *ick move to your uncle, but then again, its a *ick move to allow your
family to be in your situation. Protect your kids, that's the bottom
line.

thank you all and its getting better my uncle steped up and the cops did
too if the neighbors start again they well be evicted. i had to go to
the point were i said i would charge them before anything was done the
cops got involved with my uncle and mad him send out the frist steep of
evicted them. so thank you all your advices was help full
