For all those that enjoy a good HAUNTED HOUSE to visit at this time of year or anytime. Here is a site you can go to they list all the REAL HAUNTED HOUSES by State. And give you a little bit of information about each one.

http://www.realhaunts.com/

Has anyone went to any Real Haunted Houses and actually seen or heard something that could not be explained?

Myself beyond the Halloween Spook Houses I have never went to a Real Haunted House but would think it would be and adventure within itself.

I worked at a National Historic Inn as their accountant about 5 yrs back. There was one room where a lady had, as the rumor went, killed herself in it. Two psychics visited and reported energy, spirits, whatever they see or feel. The maids would often complain about the room changing after they'd done something. I went into it once to see if I could "feel" anything. All I saw was some dead flies in the window. I was disappointed. I WANT to go to one, or two, or all of 'em. Things like that intrique me.

and.......GM Vain Dame!

I've been to a couple places that rumor had were haunted, nothing happened except we managed to spook ourselves. But, I have had a couple of strange things happen that I couldn't and still can't explain.

And I'm headed to Gettysburg tomorrow night for Halloween, supposed to be the most haunted place in America. Will post a report when we get back.

Happy Hauntings bigsmile

WAYYYYYYY up north in Wisconsin, on West Bay Lake. It's no longer standing. The official report says it was hit by lightning in 1985 (or 6) and burned as a result of it. However, the trees were not scorched, nor was any of the ground around it. All signs point to a controlled fire, but what do I know?

Yeah, if you read up on it at all, my two friends and I looked for it for hours, although we had specific instructions on how to exactly get to the place. Strangely enough, we finally found it just before dusk in a place that we had passed several times already, like it just appeared out of nowhere. We got at least one orb on film (yes, before digital cameras), and all three of us distinctly heard two gunshots (you'll know about this part if you read up on it). That was our cue to get going.

Worked at an Inn once about 18 years ago and always hated going into room 167. Always felt strange like a depression or darkness about it. Found out later that a man hung himself in that room. He left a letter saying how lonely and depressed he was and couldn't go on any longer feeling that way. Spooky feeling.

ive seen alot and been to quite a few places. nc has a big history of unexplained things. the devils hoofprints in bath,, the devils tramping grounds,, brown mtn lights, all up and down the coast. i have been to one house that a friend of the family used to live in,, abandoned now,, and its got alot going on. at least 6 people have died there, 1 suicide, and the rope is still there from the incident. there are no boards up on the walls, its just a bare bones structure,, but no matter what the temp is outside, its always warmer there. i have been there in the dead of winter,, it be 20 some odd degrees outside,, and its always at least 10 degrees warmer. no way for it to keep heat in the place,, but its always warmer. always feels like being watched, hear people crying,, things like that

I went to a haunted house about 4 years ago with my wife and her loud mouth sister who was about 50 at the time. We were walking down a dark hall and they were both behind me holding onto my shirt. This man jumped out in front of me with a chainsaw. I jumped, turn around and knocked both women over as I ran for the door. When we got outside my sister in law had my foot print right in the center of her back! rofl

Hill Field Elementary has a ghost of a WWII nurse, seen that one (I was quite young then and it flipped me friend and I for a loop, we ran like hell). North Davis Jr. High is rumored to have one but I've never seen that one, though it was caught in a picture it is hard to say if it is just not a reflection of sort.

There was a book written on the place by one of the people who lived there called "The Carver Effect". The book has been out of print for many years, although a reprinting came around a few years back. I think you might still be able to order it. I never got to meet the author, as he died before I got to meet him, but I did get to meet his son (who is also in the book). I bought a brand-new copy of the book directly from him, and he autographed it for me. Went right to his house to pick it up, and we sat at his kitchen table and sat and bullsh!t for about three hours about this house.
