SAN DIEGO (KGO) -- A San Diego woman is going to extreme measures to avoid foreclosure eviction.
June Reyno and her husband have lived in their suburban Mira Mesa home for 19 years. Reyno has now chained herself to the house to avoid being evicted. A couple of years ago after Reyno lost her job; the couple took out an adjustable rate mortgage. Story continues belowAdvertisement "We went from a payment of almost $4,000 a month, and as of June first 2008 it was adjusted to $5,800," Reyno said. Reyno says she has obtained financing from a new loan but the property management company is not interested. The company says the foreclosure and the eviction have nothing to do with the new loan. |

i don't know if that's supposed to make me feel sympathetic or not
but if a couple is paying over $4,000/month in a mortgage, it sounds to me as though they are living way beyond their means, and it's tough for me to muster up any sympathy for them i've never heard of an adjustable rate, but it sounds to me as though they gambled on lower interest rates - and lost. |

Come on now.. for real.. 4000 a month for mortgage.. I don't even pay that in a month for my rent, and ALLL of my utilities including cable and food... give me a break.. if she can't afford her freaking million dollar home.. than maybe she needs to move on to something a little more affordable.

Yeah, I kind of have to agree on that. I don't understand why somebody who apparently has enough to pay $4000 a month is unable to get a regular loan. |
