if you click on the number of posts at the bottom of the photo it'll go there too

mine only comes up with this and another site I have been on.

It's odd..because a friend can google my id and only come up with the mingle links....yet I got a third different one, which I screen captured. I will look back tomorrow for answers from admins.

Had a thought too......that link could be grabbed by an ad placement. If this particular site had ads on mingle at one time, maybe that's how my user id got connected with this site.

I googled you. I found you at Adult Finders and it says that you say Palin flips the bird and it's for 2:00 a.m. My security blocked me from going further.

The second one says Mingle2..3 random things that you can't live without: Diet Pepsi, gummy worms and Victoria Secret.
It took me to that thread.

When you deactivate your profile, it will eventually be removed by Google. It just takes some time for that process to occur, because Google has to visit our site and see that your profile has been deactivated, and that process can take a while.

I have no idea what the adult friend finders page is - it obviously is not something we did or encouraged. Most likely, it's just someone who has the same username as you on that site but is unrelated to you. It seems like the other heathergobucks is in Bird City, Kansas, so it's clearly not you.

The forums are public and can be viewed by anyone. This is the case with the vast majority of forums on the internet. On almost every forum, you can read the forum without being a member, but you can't post until you join. This is the case with mingle2 as well. You shouldn't post anything you aren't comfortable with anyone being able to read. I would advise that for any forum on the internet that you participate on.

No Mike it doesn't clarify things in just that last respect, the rest yes......the google entry that says Kansas is a bogus link that actually takes you to an adult friend finder site with naked thumbnails directly on that page. It also references a thread that was posted in Mingle, that I participated in. It's not another user with my same username. It's using content from this site in this description.

The only thing I can come up with is there was an add on the top of that page for the other site at the time I posted. I could be way off. I don't see ads as they are blocked so I wouldn't have known that if it was the case.

welcome to "free" internet, there is no anonymity here and you cant really expect the site moderators to protect your identity, thats your responsibility...my suggestion is in the future use a name that is generic (believe it or not, like mine) so you get lost in the thousands of links associated with that name...

Understood and I've been on the internet and in various forums for over 8 years now. However, I don't see it in the small print anywhere that I agreed to my name being associated with full blown naked body shots on a site that redirects no less than 2 times to get to the end result. I'll take this up privately from here on out, but I think it's fair warning for anyone else that is a little bit concerned about this. I appreciate your responses. I was in no way blaming Mingle2 either.....you can see that I had hoped and still do that there was a reasonable explanation for it.

I don't believe that's just what you get when you join a free site. I would hope, and do believe, that the admins here and on every other respectable dating site have more class than to associate their web content with something that's basically porn. They listened when people were concerned about some of the ad content, which tells me they care about what their users think, even if it is free.

Thanks for that tip....I think your right....it might be better to be lost in the mix.

Hi, heathersaysgobucks. The bottommost Google search result is a bit odd, so I am guessing that you are correct in your assumption that the association results from an ad being served on our site. We do not have any direct associations with such adult sites, as Mike noted.

Another thing which makes me suspicious of that search result is the actual URL which is at the bottom of the result (which I include below). If you go to it directly, the page reads "This Account Is Suspended". Therefore, some sort of redirection must be going on to kick us to the dotfarming.com page (which has the Adult Friend Finder ad). You noted the redirections in one of your posts, of course.
