Topic: Replying to Mutual Match | |
---|---|
I actually got a Mutual Match that wanted to "meet me", that is one I would actually like to reply to. He was the one that supposedly wants to meet me, but when I tried to send a message, one of his criteria "must haves" is to be 100 miles of his area, which I'm not, so it won't send it. No big deal, but how do you reply to someone that wants to meet you in a case like that? I have "within 100 miles" on mine, too, but evidently I must not have it listed as a "must have", as all the ones I get are usually more like 1000 miles away

You could try sending a friend request with a message. That might work.

JBomb is right. I've had men write me, but have tried to respond, only to find that I didn't fit some criteria. Makes me wonder, then, why the heck did they show interest if I wasn't fitting the bill to begin with???? They lowered their standards????

No lowering of standards or not reading profiles, it's just that perhaps we think that something about them might be worth putting more effort into a meaningful relationship with them if they were willing to try also. It's sort of like playing the lottery. There's NO CHANCE at all to win, if ya don't play!!! JMHO though. |

You could try sending a friend request with a message. That might work. ![]() Thanks, I may try that. Like I said, most of the mutual matches I get are ones that are very far away, but this one is about 150 miles away, so reasonaby close. I'm sure that, since he requested we chat, he doesn't realize he has the 100 mile thing listed as a "must". No big deal. It's just rare that I ever get one that I actually wouldn't mind chatting with! Thanks, everyone! ![]() |

Hi, broncosrock. As far as I know, all matches that are made through Mutual Match are above any filters. If you're sure that he is an actual match (meaning that you both clicked Yes or maybe), please email me the user name of the account in question. I'd like to take a look at it.
