Being a POW does not make one a better candidate for President, IMO. |

Being a POW does not make one a better candidate for President, IMO. Being that to him the wars aren't about "daddy" and HOPEFULLY NOT about OIL.. Maybe... but it will take time, we can't just pull out, it doesn't matter if you're Obama or McCain, you can't just pull out right away... |

I don't like either!!!!!! But McCain spent over 5 year's as a POW so he know's about getting screwed by our government!!!!!! And hes been a part of it since 1982 |

This countrys own cival liberties/rights are in shambles. I personally want a President that makes these the top Priority. No person should be stomped on like we as Americans have been the last 8 years and i want someone as far away from the "old guard" as possible!! I personally think now is the time to give "Bobbys way" a chance!

Is it the administration? McCain seems to be a rebel Republican, that could bring about a different presidency... He "claims" to be different but there is not much proof of it. NO? I didn't hear him claim, I've only heard about his actions which are different... If Bush was involved you can bet I wouldn't vote for him but McCain I've heard/read, is different... What do we KNOW? Princess, he's voted with Bush over 90% of the time. |

Will Barack bring about a kinder Gentler world? We as Americans have been put through alot the last 8 years; the WTC, the patriot Act, the economy, the lies and deciept of Gov. Bush and his "fuzzy math", The "War" on "Terror", the list goes on. Maybe its time, instead of looking for a fight and destruction, to make this a place where we can be free from ignorance and prosection and we can learn to accept and respect others differences because its that idea that truley makes America great! He looks like he can. I am hoping so. I do feel he's going to be busy cleaning up Bush's mess for a few years though. ANYONE can clean up Bush's mess.. Just remember Bush was working with Clinton's mess.. As the next president will be working with Bush's... That's the way it rolls.. Clinton was not innocent FAR FROM, Bush certainly is not and Obama OR McCain will not be as well... To realize and admit that no one is innocent is to be realistic in life and politics... But...this mess will make the next candidate take longer to accomplish their goals. |

No matter how long it takes to CLEAN UP this MESS it will take 2 terms for any president... I don't think either will last that long... We can say Obama all we want, he won't get it.. We can say McCain all we want, he won't satisfy our needs (those of the middle class)... We don't have a true good choice.. Obama and McCain are like leftovers that no one wants to eat (for lack of a better analogy)....

From what I've read, she was taking care of the children. Question i have is who are we to judge? His wife had a choice and she chose to overlook his infidelity....her choice. Do some research on PTSD and issues most pow's have after coming and reacclimating to regular society. His actions are far from uncommon. Irregardless it has no bearing on whether he is better suited to running this country. |

For those of you who dont know, here a copy of a speech RFK gave to the students at the University of Kansas in 1968, that really reflects who he was!
"If we believe that we, as Americans, are bound together by a common concern for each other, then an urgent national priority is upon us. We must begin to end the disgrace of this other America. And this is one of the great tasks of leadership for us, as individuals and citizens this year. But even if we act to erase material poverty, there is another greater task, it is to confront the poverty of satisfaction - purpose and dignity - that afflicts us all. Too much and for too long, we seemed to have surrendered personal excellence and community values in the mere accumulation of material things. Our Gross National Product, now, is over $800 billion dollars a year, but that Gross National Product - if we judge the United States of America by that - that Gross National Product counts air pollution and cigarette advertising, and ambulances to clear our highways of carnage. It counts special locks for our doors and the jails for the people who break them. It counts the destruction of the redwood and the loss of our natural wonder in chaotic sprawl. It counts napalm and counts nuclear warheads and armored cars for the police to fight the riots in our cities. It counts Whitman's rifle and Speck's knife, and the television programs which glorify violence in order to sell toys to our children. Yet the gross national product does not allow for the health of our children, the quality of their education or the joy of their play. It does not include the beauty of our poetry or the strength of our marriages, the intelligence of our public debate or the integrity of our public officials. It measures neither our wit nor our courage, neither our wisdom nor our learning, neither our compassion nor our devotion to our country, it measures everything in short, except that which makes life worthwhile. And it can tell us everything about America except why we are proud that we are Americans". |
