Topic: JSH NFL Mock Draft... | |
---|---|
Ok Football Fans we have one month until the NFL Draft: Lets try to
predict or pick who will be taken by concensus. Personally I think the first few picks are pretty easy: The Raiders are on the Clock: Who are they taking? My Guess and their need (as I see it) is JaMarcus Russell LSU's 6'5" QB... What's everyone elses opinon? |
Yeah same here they need a qb
I'll say that they sign David Carr (who wasn't terrible last year and is
still fairly young) and take Calvin Johnson. |
Damn, we don't have any knowledgeable football fans in this lace?

Dvid carr is a but is he been in the nfl for 4 years an hasnt done
anything all he is a good backup....They should take jamarcus russel. With randy moss an jerry porter he will have a good year this year....randy moss is due for a big year.... |
I think they should take Calvin Johnson 1st and dangle him as trade-bait
since most teams are salivating over him. As far as QB, I think Drew Stanton would be the better fit for the Gayders (oops.....Raiders, sorry, habit). As far as the Lions go, too bad they couldn't draft a GM! LOL |
I'm a huge Raider fan...my gut says Calvin Johnson. AD had never liked
taking QB's high and they still believe Walter can get it done, as do I. I'm not sold on J Russ. |
The Raiders would be a lot better off tradin Randy Moss for a (or a
couple) consistant offensive lineman. They need an O-line to block for whoever the hell they have in the backfield. The Texans have proved that year after year. |
We just signed Cooper Carsile (G) from the Donkey's. Plus with the
addition of Tom Cable (ATL's o-line coach) we are moving to a zone blocking scheme. I think our o-line will be ok. Last year we had 3 coaches telling each lineman to do something different...it was a mess. I believe Moss will be a draft day trade but even if not we have 10 picks this draft, that's more than enough for one draft. That said...I want Moss off the team. I wish those Green Bay rumors would come true. My guess is we take CJ in round one and Edwards (qb) in round two is he's still there. With Al Davis though...anything is possible. |
No Doubt! But with the way he likes the long ball, don't be surprised
if he does take Russell. The move that would catch everybody off guard, would be if they took Amobi Okoye 1st and made him the youngest ever #1 pick. Like ya said, with Al Davis, anything's possible. |
That's what scares me bro. Al Davis and his damn long ball. The draft
will show if Al is letting young Kiffin run the team or not. With Kiffin we are going to a modified WCO, so the long ball factor is pretty low as far as Kiffin is concerned. Al may want to stick it to the Bucs bad enough though that he may let Kiffin draft CJ. From what I hear, the Bucs want CJ baaaad. I think it's all depending if we can sign a vet/journeyman QB in time. Your Alex Smith is a great example of what can happen for Walter if given a chance. |
Yeah, last year was for yall like a few years back was for
us...........BULLSH*T!! 2-14 just doesn't cut it, no matter what league it is. We drafted a QB after that season in the #1 spot, and our RB in the 3rd round. Maybe the same will happen here? |
I'm getting pumped up for this draft!!!! Less than a week away.

Me too, I think the offseason is the sh*t! I think I like the offseason
on Madden just as much as playin the game. I just want us to get players we need instead of gettin big names. So far, Coach Nolan gets 2 thumbs up for his offseason accomplishments. The Raiders seem to be tryin to go in the right direction. I hope they get better than last year, cuz nothin's better for trash-talkin than the Bay Battles (especially when we're both good). The last couple years, neither one of our teams has really done sh*t to be proud of, except for Mr. Gore. I think that FB yall got from the Falcons will help out the run game, freein up a little more time for whoever's at QB. As long as yall got WR's that care, it can't be a bad thing. |

1raiders jamarcus russel, im not sold on him 2.loins brady Quinn they
need a Qb got wr/rb... 3. browns A. peterson, he either going to be bust or hall of fame. 4.tampa bay calvin johnson.. these are locks unless some trades downs which believe the raiders should do, they too many holes. |
People keep saying the Raiders have too many holes..I don't get it. Our
O-line and RB core needed work, which we've already addressed via FA. Our WR core looked bad last year because Porter was benched, Moss was crying and Whitted was starting over Curry. Another point is we already have 10 picks this year and not much cap space. If we stay at number one it will be JRuss (how one game makes you a number 1 pick I dunno) or CJ. I can't believe JRuss is even considered over BQ...I don't think you can trust a QB coming out as a junior. We lack depth at QB but that's about it and Edwards will more than likely be there at the top of the 2nd. ONE WEEK LEFT!!!!! |

haha I think I am the only female to reply to this thread...ok!!
Brady Quinn is the one I am watching for...he is from Notre Dame, I am a big Notre Dame fan so hopefully he will go somewhere good! I heard the Raiders were looking at him, he is 6"4 and nothing but muscle!! |
Brady Quinn will most likely go to the Lions, since they need a QB BAD!!
They also need to improve drastically in the O-line department, though. |
Ok...Damn work, I wasn't able to keep up here...
My Picks 1 - Raiders - Russell QB 2 - Bucs - Johnson WR (Bucs Trade up to get him) 3 - Browns - Quinn QB 4 - Lions - Thomas OT 5 - Cards - Brown OT 6 - Redskins - Gains DE 7 - Vikings - Peterson RB 8 - Falcons - Landry Safety 9 - Dolphins - Okoye DT 10 - Texans - Staley OT Come on Saturday Morning!!!! |
Actually the Lions and Martz are Happy with Kitna and they need too many
other things to have a QB sit on the bench (Kitna threw for 4,200 yards last season). |
