I gave my husband a second chance because it seemed so out of character for him ... and we had 11 years invested in our relationship at the time...

8 years later ... he did it again ... that was enough...

I learned much through the process ... most significantly ... no more second chances ...

I know most are going to go with 'hell no' on this one. And I don't even blame them.

But the truth is that often cheating is a symptom and not the actual problem. If two people can come together and sincerely address the problem, each accept responsibility for why they are where they are, and work to make sure it doesn't happen again, then there's a chance. But it would take two very strong and unique people. I doubt that I could. It would be too much to overcome.

I'd run them over with a shopping cart. That'll teach em.

Here's the thing the bothers me about this issue.People either believe that the person cheated because they weren't getting enough sex or that the other person being cheated on must have been half responsible

Of course that's also often not true. Many (most?) people that cheat are just plain selfish and/or idiots

Nope....not in a million years. This might sound mean but I only give one shot. There is no excuse for cheating because I feel that you should break up first out of respect and morals.

Absolutely not.

I figure that if I'm not able to give her what she needs, and she goes and finds some other dude that she wantss more than she wants me, I don't need her.

Not to mention, the last excuse I got from a woman about why she had cheated was " I did it because you WOULD have ", even though I never even considered it.

I've said this before on here with regards to a totally different topic: It would all depend. It would depend on the quality, duration and depth of the relationship. I certainly can't just give a pat yes or no answer to this question. It weighs too heavily on other factors.

I just love how some women (and men) will agree that a relationship is 50/50 or 100/100 or whatever ratio you place on it. However, when it comes to possibly taking partial responsibility for infidelity occuring in a relationship they quickly sumise "nope, it was ALL the S/O's fault for straying!" spock

Granted, there are complete dogs in this world that just cheat for the sake of cheating. It's just part of their nature. However, most often times there IS a deeper root to the problem and that root existed IN the relationship, not just soley on one person.

There is no " depends " for me.

It's very simple. Even if it WAS mostly my fault, the fact that she decided to find someone else while still WITH me rules out any second chances.

I have had it happen four times ( yeah....it's GOTTA be just me ) and I absolutely will not forgive or forget it if it happens again.

I never got back together with them. They got a oneway ticket out of my life.

My heart will forgive, but wont forget.

I think some people My ex, thought she would find someone through cheating because she couldn't make it on her own.
The money reason. It was planned.By the way I don't go out with ladies that are seperated.
