OMG if it was my cat i would freak. I say you put of some gloves and try
to wipe off any blood or try to take a closer look at the wound, IF the
cat allows you to lol

Hold on to em tight !
Pour Hydrogen Peroxide on the wound to prevent infection. The cats
gonna go crazy from the sting, and go hide, but at least the gash won't
get infected.

if you can see inside it...I would wake up my daughter and drive him to
the vet.

First of all I would protect your daughter. I know a cat picks alot of
fights with animals with rabies Bc they dont know better. I would wear
some long clothes talk soft and calm him. Keep him quarintined until you
can contact a vet and they can take his blood. Good Luck

Vaccs Help yes.... But my cat has been thru the same w a fox. He needed
a booster shot. They will make you keep him indoors for 6 weeks till
they know all side effects aren't prominent. Your welcome !

if he turns out to be okay he is staying in for now on. i know that
there are coyotes around here. thats what i think attacked him. it had
to big something of a decent size.

itll probably be pretty exspensive at the vet im sure

Maybe. Coyotes leave Puncture wounds in an overbite fasion...4
punctures, top two outspread the lowers. Im bettin it was a racoon or
another cat. Coyotes rarely lose a fight to a cat. They are relentless.
MAke sure you tell him it's ok...and try and leave him a bite of food.
If he doesnt touch it by morning take it serious.K?

If the cat tried to bite you, it sounds like you won't be able to follow
active's advice very easily - are you thinking of trying to disinfect
the wound anyway? anyone have any ideas for disinfecting the wound on an
unco-operative cat? would it work to put H2O2 in a clean spray bottle
and spray the wound from as close as possible?
