Some concider god to be just an entity like the cosmic force or as i call it the creative force which does nothing but bring creative material into being, it does not inter-react with whats created, abra call it the quantum feild, JB calls it the prime source, what ever one calls it it is a non emotional entity or force that does not directly intercede with what is created. That is what i meant by a non-caring god. For me any god/goddess that has emotions or is emotionally involved with it's creation is a man made god. That's how "religion" got started in my opinion. Man's recognition that others could be manipulated out of fears or other emotions that would bring people under control with threats of destruction etc.. I wonder if, in the very beginning stages of a new religion, the immediate agenda is to bring people under control... or if that develops over time. What is it with you people and this control thing.....God nor Jesus control me....not man....I am his "willing" servant...big big difference....and I am not scared, nor controlled not anything you people think.....so stop saying it. According to what i read my lady, when you make jesus "LORD" of your life, you give it to him to make yourself over into his image, that's control!! nope sorry I give my life to him with a willing heart there is no control......that is why you have freewill.....free to give it or not......scary never.....control....never This is an interesting subject because if you willingly become a slave, the slave master "takes care of" his slaves. There is a mutual give and take in the master-slave relationship. A willing slave does it for the benefits, not because he or she is forced to do it. Christians don't like to think of themselves as "slaves," but maybe "servants" of the Lord. "The Lord" is their master and there are benefits involved in the relationship. For one, they don't have to make decisions of right and wrong all the time because the rules are laid out for them. So they don't have to think about it. The Lord promises to "take care" of them, now and in the after life, and forgive them for their sins. Forced slavery is wrong. Christians seem to think of free will as the will to choose to be a willing servant or not. But that is not really what "Free Will" is. The "will" is always free to direct the self. One can choose to direct ones self and be responsible and take care of ones self or one can find a "master" who will take care of them whom they will serve willingly. I have heard that you can only serve one master. This simply means that you cannot have two belief systems. You cannot follow and obey your spouse if he does not follow the same master as you. This is why it is better to have a spouse who is of the same faith. But you can be free of any master, and you can still rely on your higher self to guide you. Freedom only comes with the acceptance of responsibility for all of your actions and the realization that you do create your own reality with the help and power of the Prime source through the Higher self entity. jb succintly put as usual JB, i would have gotten there eventually but i like to get people to admit to things about themselves ![]() I agree with you Tribo, but I feel that in this case a spade needed to be called a spade. Some fight the system so hard they will purger themselves to save face for even just one moment in time. |

Semantically speaking, you contradict yourself. You say ... "...rely on your higher self to guide you." and"...with the help and power of the Prime source".
So why rely on "higher self"? Why not do it yourself. Why the need for help from "Prime source"? Can't you handle it by youself? Why is it free will if you use the nouns "your higher self" and "the prime source" but it's slavery if you use the nouns "god" or "lord"? Just doin' my job. ![]() ![]() |

Hence you are "doing it yourself" but you are tapping into a much larger and more powerful self than the little self that is your ego and your current incarnation. Your higher self is not "Prime Source" or "God," but it is ultimately plugged into that life stream of endless power. All is connected. I think we all try to "do it ourselves" but there is the watcher of the person that is also "the self" waiting to help when you call upon it. It is you, your higher self. It is both the one who experiences and the observer. It's main interest is in you personally, because it IS YOU experiencing incarnations on the earth. It is not your Master, it is YOU who helps when you are in trouble. It was ME who spoke to me and warned me of an impending fatal car accident by showing it to me in ten split second visions, and convinced me to look over my shoulder before I made that fatal left turn that saved my life and my little brother's life. It was MY VOICE I heard when a man was hiding in the back seat of my car with a weapon, and it screamed "There is someone in my car!" so strongly inside my head that is all I could repeat over and over until I went (with three men) to check it out. I have experienced my higher self watching and protecting me and I knew who it was. It was me. I hope this answers your questions. JB |

Why is it free will if you use the nouns "your higher self" and "the prime source" but it's slavery if you use the nouns "god" or "lord"?
It is all about the realization that you are God because ultimately you are sustained by that Prime Source and connected to it while still maintaining your person, your desires, your interests, your experiences etc. People who worship a God outside of them self don't truly realize the total oneness and connection they have with all that is. Prime Source (God) is within you, experiencing creation and life through you and has its being in you. Prime Source lives through you and through all of its manifestations and creations. All things have (or channel) varying degrees of consciousness. |

Tribo do you know what the gender differentiation percentile is on Christianity meaning how many current followers of the faith are male and how many are female? Thats probably impossible to determine right?

People who worship a God outside of them self don't truly realize the total oneness and connection they have with all that is. Prime Source (God) is within you, experiencing creation and life through you and has its being in you. Prime Source lives through you and through all of its manifestations and creations. All things have (or channel) varying degrees of consciousness. I just have a fundamental disagreement with the idea of being "split" into two (or more) separate parts. I am just me. There are no "parts" to "me". Yes, I "have" a body and I "have" a mind and I "have" emotions and I "have" a personality and I "have" experiences and I "have" memories" and I "have" perceptions, etc., etc.. But those are not "parts" of me, they are "posessions" of mine. They can be removed without any change to "me". I don't even think of prime source as "sustaining me" or "being within me" or "experienceing life and creation through me" or "living through me" or anything like that. I think of prime source as being me. To me there is simply one indivisible unit that is "me", with no parts or divisions or separations. It's not even "all me". It's just "me". |

Thats probably impossible to determine right? not off the top of my head i'd have to look it up if i remeber correctly there are aprox. 3 billion people who follow after the book god but thats including the jews and muslims i know there approx. 30 million evangelicals like ferral and MS, but the ratio breakdown no though i wont be surprised to fint it to be 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 women verses men - i think i know what your getting at - ![]() |

Oh no, it wasnt an agenda driven question. I was simply wondering if there were less female followers simply because arguably the faith can be a little edgy as it relates to women. Not everyone thinks that but many do or they excuse or rationalize it in whatever way they can. So I was curious but it would be difficult to determine and I guess you would need to do it by denomination. Catholics are probably the dominant the world over correct?
