Tumbling, falling into the rabbits hole
Twisting and turning as I fall
Drink this to make you smaller
Drink this to make you larger
and I am caught someplace in between

Riding the merry go round
Up and down upon the horse
Round and round I go
Where it will stop
I don't even know

Filled with doubt and wanting to scream
But my voice seems to have lost its edge
Softly I speak, barely a whisper
Pacing back and forth frantically
Wringing my hands, gnashing my teeth

And then it comes, words of wisdom and reason
Reassurance in those typed words
"To turn your back on love is to turn your back on yourself"
I stop, read them again and again
Knowing they are the truth
So I hide for a time to heal and mend
Hiding in the closet, picking up the pieces

Knowing I will step out of the closet
That I am still whole, just a little worn for the wear
Trusting still in the human race, just learned to read the lies on the face
Learning once again to trust my instincts, refusing to turn my back on myself

Oy..silly me..those words of wisdom, reason and reassurance came from AdventureBegins(AB), a man of wisdom and reason, and a good friend to this poet.

It's a funny looking world, when you are inside out, huh?

Those are good words to live by my friend take the time to mend. But never turn you back on love. And as you say never ignore your gut feelings as well. Awesome write as always.

That last line is so true on both the the ride and life. Much better than the old rollercoaster analogy because we know where abouts the rollercoaster stops.
