Topic: I Have a Serious Question for the Guys | |

You are enabling her to act this way. You are part of the problem.
You sit her down, you tell her your expectations as to what you will and will not accept ONCE give her a week, and if she doesn't tow the line, kick her ass out. You give yourself too much power. She's a big girl. She found you and the bf to use, if you remove yourself from the equation she will find someone else to use and abuse. She's not a friend, so don't even say she is, my friends don't do that to me and I've lived with several friends as roomates in the past. Yes, they annoyed me, but they never took advantage of me or the situation. She's a user, let her find either someone else to use or grow the f*ck up...You and your children are the only ones who matter in this situation. |

Thank-you all for your advice and your comments. As for dealing with her, I plan to sit her down this weekend and try and tell her as amicably as I can. I'm also buying top ramen, boned chicken and mac and cheese this time around. She wants her picky picky food, she gets to buy it herself. ("I have a car payment!" Yeah, and I have a house payment, gas, groceries, electricity, and I don't have a mustang convertible... which you don't NEED. If ya can't afford food, ya can't afford a mustang!) She hasn't been with me for long, and she just started this sh*t recently, so it's not like I've let her go on and on with it. turst me. Nor will I.
As for why he's with her, yeah he's said he likes a "dangerous" girl. Still, she reminds me of his ex wife whom he always complains about. I'm thinking he hasn't learned. |

Hmm I don't think you really need to concern yourself with her, I think you need to find a new roommate! Does she atleast pay half the rent? Does she really do anything except make a mess? You say that you have children, well I think I would be finding someone better then her to be a good role model for my kids!! You don't want your kids to think its alright to buy things instead of paying your bills. I think you should kick her out and take her boyfriend!! We have a winner Bob.!!!!! |

So, I have a roommate. There is a lot about her that just really bothers me. She's rude, selfish, loud, and demanding. She calls herself the goddess and seriously expects everyone to mold themselves to her whims and emotions. She never helps with food, but complains when we don't have any (or when I don't buy boneless chicken "I won't eat anything with a bone" or fresh greens that she doesn't use and therefore go bad). Instead, she buys $60 perfume and $80 shoes -- by the bag! If she wants to do something everyone else better well do it, too, or she throws a 2-year-old fit. She never cleans up after herself and always has a pissy retort when I ask her to. ANYway, you get the idea... Now, her boyfriend, who is a friend of mine and with whom nothing will ever happen between he and I so this is NOT jealousy (he's like a brother), is a very sweet guy. He texts me and asks if we need anything for the house (shampoo, cleaning supplies, food, even meds for my kids!), helps clean, does the dishes and takes out the garbage. He doesn't even live there! He also tries to make things easier on me with her (for example he bought a pizza for her the other day when she was hungry and wanted to cook and we had hardly any food in the house for my kids... all the while looking at me like "I'm sorry".) ...so here's my question. WHY THE HELL IS HE WITH HER? What does a sweet guy like that see in such a selfish b*tch? Are all the nice guys with b*tches? Is that where they are? Is that why I can't find one? Seriously though. I'm confused. Help??? Simple answer. He is with her for the same reason that a woman will stay with a guy who treats her like sh*t. He just doesn't think he can do any better. |

I know people like that. I think a lot of people like that want someone who is stronger than they are and more controlling. I use to be like that myself. A girl with some power, equal power, is great... but a person who is a flat out b*tch, I dont see a reason to put up with it. Im sure you will find a great guy tho. Someone who can respect you like he would, giving what you need and being there for you. I do find a lot of the girls I know are like your guy friend tho... always with an a-hole... unfortunately for me, I aint one... a positive and negative |

Usually nice guys lack confidence. He'd rather get bad attention, getting pushed around, than no attention at all.

I wouldn't even give her a week. If she can buy $80 shoes and such..she can afford rent. You have only 2 responsibilities..your kids and yourself..she can fend for herself.
As far as her bf...he choses to stay with her for some reason..may not be apparent to you, but it's his desicion. Someday he might just wake up and see what you do. |

Plainly and simply: She is probably a great lay. I know--that makes you want to vomit, right? But that's what's going on and that's why they are together. Men will put up with a lot from someone who gives them what they want.
I mean, he doesn't have to deal with her being in his house with him all day long--that's what YOU'RE for. (Maybe he's not that "nice" after all..? Maybe...? Think about it.) He tries to repay you for maintaining her by being nice to you, too. But really: Do yourself and your kids a favor and get rid of this woman. It sounds as though there's no financial advantage to having her as a roommate, if what you are saying is correct. I love b*tches!
Right. Lots of people do. It's pretty normal. I hope this was helpful. yours in Chaos, Scarlett |
