what do you think of a girl that puts out on the first date? Oooooo....does this one call for some honesty??? Hope you are prepared for it. I, because of my own personal preferences, would not be likely to call a woman again if we go out on one date and she puts out that night. However. This may sound strange because of it coming from a guy, but I ( personally ) wouldn't have sex with someone on the first date anyway. The way I see it, if it's worth doing on the FIRST date, then it's worth waiting for a bit as well. Call me old fashioned, but I am not that liberal with sex in that instance. It actually does mean something to me. I am almost 40 and I have yet to have a one night stand or first date sex. It simply isn't what I am about. That's not to say that I am not open to the possibility, though. |

what do you think of a girl that puts out on the first date? AND...what do you think of the girl that doesn't put out on the first date despite electrifying mutual attraction? That is actually more along the lines of my personal preference. It shows ( to me, before I start getting stuff thrown at me here ) a level of control and interest that goes beyond the physical. |

PS...we missed you! Thank you. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of emails I got from folks who were wondering where I went. Kinda nice to know that people actually enjoy my ramblings....lol |

That's not to say that I am not open to the possibility, though. Way to stand your ground! Most people want to know why things work. I want to know why they don't work. So tell me. Why don't things work? |

Why don't things work? Things don't work because men refuse to read the directions when putting stuff together...lmao |

Justaguy glad to see you got your computer problem fixed. And that you survived your ordeal at work. smiles
I have an issue with guys I don't know, calling me darling, sweety, love,or sweetheart.Should I just ignore it or nip it in the butt as soon as those words are spoken? hUh? I can't help but feel that they have forgotten my name. |

Justaguy glad to see you got your computer problem fixed. And that you survived your ordeal at work. smiles I have an issue with guys I don't know, calling me darling, sweety, love,or sweetheart.Should I just ignore it or nip it in the butt as soon as those words are spoken? hUh? I can't help but feel that they have forgotten my name. Hmmm....this one is kinda tough for me because there is a woman at work that I say that too all the time when I see her. Of course, she calls me " honey " so I guess it evens out....lol I guess it depends on how long you have known the person that is saying those things. If you have only just met them, and they say it, it's quite possible that they have actually forgotten your name. Of course, them saying it in that kind of situation is odd in and of itself, but that's another answer for another question. If they have known you for a while, I think it's pretty much inexcusable. It also shows a lack of respect in some ways. * edit * Whoops. Just read through the question again. If it's guys you don't know at all that do that...nip it in the bud right away. Let them know that you demand a certain level of respect and that is not acceptable. |

Whats is a "date" in todays society. And I dont mean the fruit.(though I have dated a couple of fruits) This is a good one. A " date " can be many different things. Of course, I haven't actually been ON a date in quite a while, so I really don't have any real idea anymore...lmao p.s. You should stay away from the fruits and just stick with the nuts.... |

Hi JustAGuy . Im new here and just read all 17 pages of your awesome forum...whew!! I couldnt stop, they were so addicting! Youre truely awesome and the people here are great!
I have a question (actually a lot of em now since reading all these ), so here it goes- hope ur ready (I promise u wont be doing this once ur done ) 1) Are there any REAL at home jobs out there that are actually LEGIT where they DONT ask u for $? If so, I could use one.. 2) What kind of job should I do? I like caregiving (non-cna), but it doesnt really pay the bills. What should I do? (oops thats 2 questions in 1, sorry ) 3) How come men keep us in the dark? They dont tell us stuff, only on a 'need to know' basis? 4) Why dont parents keep a better eye on their kids and why do they take them out in the middle of the night to the store or laundromat when they should be in bed (oops, another 2 in 1 question- Im getting good at that lol)? should I refer back to your answer on pumping gas (p10)? 5) Heres a good one- Do guys secretly want a woman who does what they say, you know, cause its a mans world kind of thing (a guys 'dream')? JustAComment- your answer to why men cheat...awesome! makes A LOT of sense (to me, & helped me understand why my guy did it). thx ol wise one |

Hi JustAGuy . Im new here and just read all 17 pages of your awesome forum...whew!! I couldnt stop, they were so addicting! Youre truely awesome and the people here are great! Welcome to the forums. I am glad you enjoy it here. You are right. There are a LOT of great people here. You actually read all 17 pages?!?!?! I'm impressed....lol I have a question (actually a lot of em now since reading all these ), so here it goes- hope ur ready (I promise u wont be doing this once ur done )
I'm always ready to answer a question. I'll do my best to answer yours. 1) Are there any REAL at home jobs out there that are actually LEGIT where they DONT ask u for $? If so, I could use one..
I honestly don't know. I have never had reason to look into it, so I couldn't honestly tell you if there are any that don't require an initial investment. What I CAN tell you is that, if you do see one that doesn't require any initial set up money, chances are that it's not a legit or moneymaking deal. Always keep in mind " If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is ". If they say that you can make lots of money without it costing you anything initially...I wouldn't trust it. Just my opinion. 2) What kind of job should I do? I like caregiving (non-cna), but it doesnt really pay the bills. What should I do? (oops thats 2 questions in 1, sorry )
Not knowing you at all...I really can't say what kind of job you should do. Perhaps, judging by your profile, you should consider going into marketing for the White Sox??? 3) How come men keep us in the dark? They dont tell us stuff, only on a 'need to know' basis?
It all depends on what you are referring to. A lot of men don't speak of their feelings because they have been conditioned not to. There are some things that a man thinks ( perhaps mistakenly, perhaps not ) a woman just really doesn't need to know. If you are referring to hiding something in their past ( marriage, children, etc. ) then it's more of a case of the man just not being very honest in the first place. 4) Why dont parents keep a better eye on their kids and why do they take them out in the middle of the night to the store or laundromat when they should be in bed (oops, another 2 in 1 question- Im getting good at that lol)? should I refer back to your answer on pumping gas (p10)?
Ok. In answer to the first part of the question. Some parents don't keep an eye on their kids because they simply don't care all that much. Some don't because they are just a bit lazy. Some have very stressful work lives and by the time they get home they are just completely apathetic about what their kids are doing. There are myriad reasons for something like that. One thing to keep in mind about this is that just about any form of discipline is considered " abuse " these days. A parent can't raise their voice to their kid(s). They can't spank them. They basically can't do much of anything. They CAN, and do, use " time out ". I have found that particular " punishment " to be mostly ( there ARE exceptions ) ineffective and almost completely ignored by the child. One thing that a person that can't control their children shows me is that they have very little control over themselves. * disclaimer * These, again, are only MY opinions on the subject. They should not be taken as a judgment of anyone's parenting skills. As far as the second part. If it's a choice between taking the kids with them, or leaving them at home by themselves...which would you prefer they do??? 5) Heres a good one- Do guys secretly want a woman who does what they say, you know, cause its a mans world kind of thing (a guys 'dream')?
The guys who want that are control freaks and make no secret of it at all. Personally, that's not what I want. I DON'T want someone who argues with me about every damn thing. But I also don't want one that is totally subservient either. JustAComment- your answer to why men cheat...awesome! makes A LOT of sense (to me, & helped me understand why my guy did it). thx ol wise one
Thank you. :) |
