Come on nobody reeeeally likes having their picture taken, I get that, AND I get that at least in our culture we really don't like being told what to do but this is a forum post not a personal attack. Did I miss something that said anyone has to agree. Or like it?

Dateing off the innernet is dicey at best and setting yourself up to be as successful as possible (if you are serious about meeting someone) you have to be willing to listen to opinions about how you will be percieved.

Some people know how to couch there remarks in diplomatic terms that would be accepted by a wide audience and can say something like this is only their view and you are 100% entitled to another view so it sounds ok. They will qualify it, apologize for having a preference that doesn't include everyone, and be honest enough to say that they have some bottom line investments, the same thing you have, but they that they are not dissing you if yours are different. Distilling things down to how a lot of people are going to feel about things, wanting to see the real deal or they are not going to bother because it doesn't take but a few dates to figure out often people who don't put up full body pictures, or in the case of short or evasive profiles, often are hiding something so you suffer from comparison; doesn't sound so sweet but is it reality?

It sounds all loverly to hold back and tiptoe into forums, pay your dues, discover people slowly, slide comfortably into a dateing relationship. Take your time to get around to effective pictures, replace the out of date clothes, and find a dependable babysitter so you can actually have some adult time but the reality is much different.

Unfortuneately most desireable people who cyber date have a limited amount of time and they flip through profiles like a deck of cards. You have about 30 seconds to make and impression; and if you blow it by not includeing photos, plural, or a profile that connects your dead in the water. Your lead photo, that is what is seen in forums. better be good because it is going to be seen a LOT more than your profile. Unless you are drop dead georgeous it is in your best interest to sell more than your head and shoulders.

Believe it or not you don't have to have a perfect body. Don't believe it? Go spend the day a fly on the wall at the marriage license beaurea. Not everyone that ends up there is "perfect" but what they do is put themselves out there, all the way out there, and they don't do it with and attitude that they don't have to do what is uncomfortable or doesn't always suit them. They give and take and give some more. Romance, even romance on a date site is not for sissies. IMHO.

Who is angry? I am not angry at all. Angry to me is if your mad you need to take a walk to calm down, or having trouble going to sleep because your angry. Im far from it, I guess the better word to use would be...."entertained"? ...This is the internet....There are only a few things I would get angry about...This isnt one of them

You want to portray yourself as this tough woman. You expect people to have fear of you. Intimidate people by saying you will have them thrown out of a thread, or somehow hurt them with words. Many may agree with you that you are this tough woman, or may be intimidated by you....I am not, I dont think your tough at all, nor am I intimidated by you. I think it is an act all the way....JMHO
