Topic: good idea? | |

so ive been at my crap hole job for about a year now and i was going to apply somewhere else and one of the reasons i wanted to quit was because of my health and weight i sit down for 9 hours a day aside from the fact i say the same thing over and over and do the same thing over and over and get yelled and cussed at for 9 hours..
i was wondering if leaving a job for a health reason is a good reason for a job if the job would help me lose weight? |

Regardless of whether it would help your health ( which is definitely a benefit of the new job you are considering )....the question is....would you be a happier person in the new job? |

Funny how that works isn't it?
If you would be happier, and it would benefit your health, AND you can actually go out and GET another job with the economy the way it is...more power to ya. :-) |

Any step towards improving your over all health is a good step. Sounds like the job would be mentaly draining dealing with complaints all day. And going from a job that you sit all day to one where you are on your feet, you will see a quick change. Any exercise is better than no exercise. |

It seems like there's a lot of reasons you'd like a new job and each of them seem pretty valid to me. Also, it's a cycle. It's hard to enjoy much when you're being screamed at all day. If you're unhappy, it can be difficult to do what you need to do to be healthy, including execise and sometimes eating well. Part of being healthy is your emotional and mental state, so dealing with all of that stress each and every day is no good for anyone. Look for a new job, but try not to be discouraged if you don't find one right away.
Good luck!!! |

Happiness...in your career, is key. If you hate going to work all the time, dread it...and just can't stand it...then I would say that you should look at another job. Health reasons, if the job is a good one and one you believe you would like, is also a good reason. But IMO it is all about being happy with what you do.

Easy advice is not the best, the easy part being find another job and continue working till u do and everything will be good.Best advice is dont blame the job or your circumstance for your state or condition, and if u want change it doesnt come from a job or a check.. but how u respect yourself and want to change and take responsibility for how u feel and look instead. If u want to change just do it and take control, otherwise life will always dictate how u behave or react..be the queen not the pawn

I think thats a pretty fair reason to quit a job or want a different one, whichever way you look at it.
Your health and wellbeing should always be taken into consideration first before worrying about some stupid hourly job. Maybe the job market isnt the greatest- just keep this job, apply for others and make yourself feel good! |
