She was always stressed about money ( that was the big one ) and I just don't get stressed out over it.

I either have it, or I don't. No amount of stressing is gonna change that fact.

I grew up with nothing, so as long as the bills are paid, and I have food, I am a happy camper. She just didn't see it that way.

Of course, the fact that I don't care all that much about money just got me told that I'm not a " real man " among other things that were said...but I didn't stress out over THAT either. That REALLY p*ssed her off. lol

Isn't it great when they come up to you with something that has them leaving pit stains on their shirts and basically pulling their hair out about what to do...meanwhile, you just kinda look at them and ask them what the big problem is?

I will admit that the other day at work I got pretty stressed out because we are facing a pretty severe space issue in the warehouse, and yet one of the other plants just keeps sending us their stuff because THEY don't have room either. When I have to move half the warehouse to make room for 500 pallets, and we have actual space for about 100 of them...I tend to get a little bugged....lol

I think that she probably thought you have no motivation.....I went out with one of those guys who grew up poor and thought that was to be his life.........no motivation. Has nothing to do with money~~!!

Well...at the time...it wasn't a lack of motivation so much as it was a case of " why should I be motivated when all she's gonna do is keep dragging me down anyway? "

Besides. It's not like we were " poor ". We didn't have a lot of extra money, but the bills were paid, and we had a place to live, and we had food.

These days, I STILL will not stress out over a lack of money. I am totally happy in my job even though I don't make a whole lot. I recently got a ( sorta ) new car, and I am going to be checking out a house on Thursday. Those two things combined will make my budget pretty tight. There won't be a lot of money left over each week. Still doesn't mean I am gonna get stressed about it.

Wonder if she'd think I am a " real man " now? Then again, I honestly couldn't care less. I was ( and always will be ) the best man she has ever been with.
