No, although it would help to talk to others who practice the same religion.

Born raised but not practicing. I have learned in my later years that it doesent mater how you worship just that you choose to. I dont need to kneel or bow or lye in prostrate. Today I talk to god like a firend not like a being waiting to send me to hell.

Do you think you need to go to or be a member of any one church to practice a religion? If you don't go to church then you aren't really "practicing" a specific religion, you are probably practicing your own personal version of it. JB |

Well actually God;s word says to forsake not the assembling of yourselves. To be equally yoked with other believers. There are many reasons according to scriptures to assemble together.
Encourgement.. To be built up in faith... To hold eachother up... Unity... Are all a few basic reasons. It's a benefit to be with like minded people of faith. |

For me no.......
My religion and my church family are just that.....We have babies together, we take care of each other when we are sick, we pray together, we study together, we all Love, God and Jesus Christ. For me that is what my religion is. My relationship with God, and Jesus Christ are my personal relationship.....I listen to God in all aspects of my life. I do all that God ask of me because of my faith in Him, and I will walk the narrow path that God asks of me because of my love for Him with all my heart, soul and mind. |

Yes well it's really for those who earnestly are seeking God for more than goose bumps. My church friends are more like family than my own family anymore. We are so far part & the only thing that keeps us together is the phone. LOL I would encourage people to find a place where you are comfortable & loved....but find a place of worship. |

with what is taught in a lot of churches these days one would do well to study as much as they can.
If you are being taught Gods word and are content and happy there, then by all means go. Many churches don't really teach the bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Instead, you get one or two verses and the rest of the sermon is talking about something else or asking you to give, give and give even more. Not knocking Christians but beware, many false teachers stand behind a pulpit as well. |

later folks, hope to join you again sometime

Do you think you need to go to or be a member of any one church to practice a religion? No, a church is simply a place where to practice publicly together. IMO |

Encourgement.. To be built up in faith... To hold eachother up... Unity... Are all a few basic reasons. It's a benefit to be with like minded people of faith. So long as those people don't abuse you. As to the question, no I don't think so. |

Do you think you need to go to or be a member of any one church to practice a religion? Organized religion and human spirituality are two separate concepts in my opinion. You can have one without the other. In fact, very often that is the case. Some find security in numbers and enjoy the physical assemblage that takes place in a house of worship. It is not a requirement however. |
