Based on what we learn in school about finite and infinite can anyone
think of and give an example of what is infinate?

I expect great things from you poeple, I know you will all surprise me.

Numbers are infinite. Quite a lame answer? Yes!

Burgundy ... Time doesn't exist. This dimension was created by human
beings. :^)

As for Infinity ... I would say ... in a simple language something that
doesn't have END ... Endless

But again, it depends on what we are talking about ... What field ... In
mathematic Infinity is numbers .. in Optic distance etc

Derf! Hilarious, man!

Regarding infinite space: I'm not sure that our universe is of infinite
size. At some point I heard that physicists/cosmologist view the
universe as a three dimensional space wrapped back onto itself, like the
two dimensional surface of a basketball (or any ball) wraps around and
connects to itself. If this is true (?), then one could 'travel
forever' in any direction and never reach an edge, and yet the space
itself would have finite volume.

Massage,

I think someone should clarify the space issue! As a layperson, I can
only give what I vaguely remember having been taught a few years ago.
*If* I recall correctly...space, itself, is expanding, thanks to Big
Bang, as evidenced from "red shift". So space, in my opinion, is not
infintie unless what lies outside space is.

But, who am I to say?! lol!

Lady - Yes, thats what I remember also (as a layperson). Here's an
interview with a physicist who says we don't know whether its infinite
or finite:

Redy, I've tortured my brain for an example of inifinity that doesn't
involve cyclical processes, numbers, or other complete abstractions -
and i've come up dry. Even gazing at the horizon or when looking up to
the stars - your gaze ends some finite distance away.

Inifite is the degree of creativity between boundaries.

How many ideas can you express with 26 letters? Infinite.

How many songs can you write with 7 notes? Infinite.

How many cheezy movies can you make about a broken-heart? Infinite.
