Topic: Is GREED destroying our country? | |

In bourgeois society capital is independent and has individuality, while the living person is dependent and has no individuality.

Greed makes super powers,Egypt did it the Romans did it and the next one will. But i can say with all the over pricing in a oil based economy ..id rather pay 4 bucks a gallon than live in an impoverished nation that i have to rely on my mule to get to a breadstand that i will have only enough money to buy a piece for a days work..overpricing stinks but there is price for luxury, after all we consume more than we need..and it will take a while to compensate for it.

You know there were times in our countrys history when we all would have considered ourselves Americans first. Now all I see are groups and sexes etc divided against each other.
There was a time when Americans gave more of a S**t about their fellow Americans then we do now. It’s a shame really. All those men and women who died for our freedoms and we toke that freedom and divided our selves with it. Lust for material gains at the expense of our fellow Americans. United we stand and Divided we shall fall. |

Its ok, its ok but I sure would rather be suffering on earth and maybe have a place in heaven than go to hell by greed or screwing people over. Remember thats eternal, LOL.

Or John Rockefeller owned Standard Oil and 1.5% of All American's cash? Or when we put U.S. Japanese citizens in prison camps during the World War? Or Thomas Edison stole Nikoli Tesla's inventions? Or women couldn't vote? Exactly when was that time? |

Or women couldn't vote? Exactly when was that time? Man I don’t want to get into a political discussion with you. There are plenty of examples – : The great depression, World war 1, world war 2 - September 11th, U.S. hockey team beats U.S.S.R in Olympic hocky ,JFK moon shot etc. I’m talking about times that Americans felt a bond with one another. It’s crappy to say but it seems that tragedy is the only thing that brings that out in us anymore. This country is the greatest and freest nation that has ever existed in the history of the world. No country is perfect but we Americans have come the closest to perfection. Think about that accomplishment for a moment. We are the Freest, and strongest nation that has ever stood on this planet…wow!!!! . So have some pride in being an AMERICAN and don’t beat the old girl up to much. She's not perfect but she is the best lady in the world. Oh and try not to screw each other over so much...I'm just saying... |

This country is NOT the greatest in the world. You've divided yourself with the rest of the earths citizens there. (and therein lies the problem)

Well, as long as we are bickering about happy horse$hit like abortion and gay marriage, feeling it's an us and them country, we don't seem to notice most of us are getting done over.
The gap is growing between the richest and the poorest in this country and well, some could say and I might agree that that is the way of the world. What alarms me is the shrinking number of people in between. Don't think for a second either that that one percent who holds ninety percent of the wealth will stick around out of some sense of patriotism. They are already investing elsewhere, to profit from the growing middle classes in places like India and insuring the futures of their children. If you buy that America first crap look again. It's an ad campaign. |

This country is NOT the greatest in the world. You've divided yourself with the rest of the earths citizens there. (and therein lies the problem) So, your one of those global community people ...strange words coming from a man who believes in the illumintti. I would think you would want to keep our country separate from a one world government system. I know that there are people in other countries who would burn you alive for you political leanings…but here in the U.S.A. you can say what ever you want...isn’t that nice. She sure has been good to you. |

This country is NOT the greatest in the world. You've divided yourself with the rest of the earths citizens there. (and therein lies the problem) It also depends on the measure of "greatness." Greatest government design - checks and balances, U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights etc. strongest military EVER!!! strongest economy over the past 250 years - peeks and valleys adjust. Wealthiest nation on the planet. strongest legislature of human rights. strongest humanitarian efforts. - We give more money and aid to the rest of the world than any other Nation. Thats how you measure GREATNESS. |

That’s what I'm talking about ...if we stand and work together as AMERICANS and not as Democrats and Republicans and Green party members and what ever... we can make our country better. Just because we have different political views doesn’t mean that we can’t work for the greater good of our families and other peoples families. We have to reach this understanding with one another first though. We have to start working together to protect the middle class and the poor. We have to organize with each other because we all live in the same house. We have to make all levels of government serve us and not let big and old money dictate to us how things are going to be. We the People are the Government. We have to make it work for US. AMERICANS FIRST!!! |

Don't draw a box around people... We are free Americans... There is no 'class' that can hold a free human. |
